Weird problem with fuel pressure sensor

Postby junaid86 on Tue, 28 Feb 2023 4:15 +0000

Hi,

I have 2013 Sr5 Hilux, i started facing a problem with code P0093, injectors were checked, common rail replaced, fuel pump checked but the problem was with fuel filter assembly. It was replaced and problem solved.

But since the common rail was replaced i am seeing lower fuel pressure on Fuel sensor 1 and normal on fuel sensor 2.
when i remove the fuel sensor 2 signal wire going to ECU it reports normal fuel pressure. Wiring has been check 2 sensors replaced with used ones but still problem remains. Adding 2 diag videos with and without fuel sensor 2 connected.

Can you trust the used sensors?
Is the replacement common rail also a used part? Is it blocked or clean?
Is the replacement common rail of the same capacity as the original?
Are the lead in and lead out fuel lines all clean and clear?
Have you got clean fuel? Is the fuel pump operating correctly?

Just a few things to look at and think of.
After checking this stuff, let us know if you solve the problem or have more troubles.

Have a look at these threads, it might be a simple as the fuel filter housing leaking air

Problem fixed by a brand new sensor. P0191 is never a fuel issue its always electrical
