fuel filter

hi all , new to this !
I put hilux secondary filter kit from diesel care or from ARB on my 2013 hilux , all on ,everything works ok .The kit comes with a 2micron filter. Is this to fine ? will it block up to quick?
My question is, what is everyone else running? 2,5,10,30 microns for secondary not primary?
Dont want to stuff my fuel pump, or put added stress on pump

Yes too fine. You will bring your suction light on all the time. 30 micron is the trick

Depends if its before or after the oem filter. No point having it pre filter and anything less than 30 micron is a waste.

Secondary is the way to go and I run 2 micron and never had problems even when I had my chip..

And carry a spare of both.

I also put a ball valve before my pre filter makes it easier to prime.
turn it off change filter, then turn on before priming

Bigfoot, why no point having a pre filter?
I thought the general consensus was that a pre-filter to grab any water & do the bulk of the cleaning before the toyota filter was the way to go

I believe its a waste of money, prove me wrong but why would you have a 10 Micron pre filter and a 30 micron secondary? All the bigger particles are caught by the 10 micron clogging it up quicker. In my opinion you want to filter the bigger particles first and finer particles last. I run a secondary 2 micron filter and it has a water alarm. Never had any flow issues to date and works great.

Not so much a point of particulate size but more an issue of water separation before it enters the Toyota filter. Provided you have a warning alarm on the pre-filter this would be a very good reason to go pre over post.
Also - please correct me if I have been misinformed by my local dealer but there are warranty issues to consider if you install a filter down stream of OEM.
