bilstein suspension

I have the above, 3" higher when I drove out. My Hilux has a lot of gear so is fairly heavy so with the soft spring rates saged 20mm in the front and 50mm in the rear with 140ltrs of deisel on board, so with the new suspension being stronger it is now 3" higher. There are different ratings. He said he would go the heavy one in the front if I had a winch which I don't at the moment, I decided on the heavy one and I'm very happy with it. The rear has Bluemax springs with an extra one on the fuel tank side it's fine when I'mfully loaded for a trip but to hard when it's not loaded up. Bilstein shocks allround. Climax I'm talking about is near Newcastle I don't know of any others. 4" higher they say will give you CV problems. I spoke to the guy's at "Raw 4x4" (Shocks) they say there's is a 50mm lift and ARB don't go to high because their afraid of litigation if the airbags don't go off. Everyone to there own there's probably a 1000 different packages out there you could choose with all the spring rates available. Good luck.8-)

Just looked at the link at the bottom of your post and that's where mine came from, so now down to 10 spring rates choices I suppose.:-)

HI ya Hoad,
Keep an eye out for the new suspension packages from EFS/Carrolls springs. I am currently entertaining the thoughts through my discussions with local hardcore 4wders that theirs will be a very good package. It will be released onto the market within the next 4-6 weeks. Will keep you informed as to their pricing and my final decision/ lowly opinions when released.
Cheers
Dan

I am currently trying to deceide which suspension to go for as I dont need lift and dont carry weight and my car rides like a billy cart, very disapointed with the ride standard. There is an article in the latest 4x4 Aust mag on the Raw 4x4 kit that looks ok. Climax seem to be aimed at the high lift market.
