I checked out that thread and can safely say I have had no issues with my vsc on my August build 2010 my11 hilux at any speed unless I push the envelope. Unless Toyota fixed it in the servicing programme before it became an issue for me

It's unfortunate, but I'd bet any insurance company would try to weasel their way out of paying an at fault claim unless the vehicle was engineered and that was listed on the policy.
It certainly sux for you 4x4 guys, but lets be honest raising the vehicle is raising its COG and therefore making it prone to tipping over easier, can't argue with physics.

I can't remember who, or where, but a link to the official document detailing the various standards applicable in Aus was helpfully posted in this forum a few months ago.

I could find no mention of problems with ESC/VSC/ABS in the document. The wording of the doc is such that although these systems aren't mentioned specifically, the catch all phrases mean that disabling them would not be OK.

The lift etc on mine (2014) has made no difference whatsoever to the functioning of the systems, and neither should it. Neither should wheel or tire size.

Although many of the wheel/tyre sizes and combination freely discussed here do not comply with the standards, that is a separate issue from the electronic systems.

Suggest you find the link and satisfy yourself :)

Yep, just trying to stay updated on this as I was wondering if there's a way I can get it mod plated ( or if I even need to ) to cover my ass with regards to insurance. The amount of money I've been spending on this vehicle I'd be pissed right off I had an accident and insurance wouldn't pay out because of a loophole with modifying vehicles with ESC. Mine isn't affected in any way either, haven't had a single drama with it and I have lift etc installed.
