Hi Guys,

Here are a few photos from Tim on the Sunshine Coast of the VMN tray back body lift kit he fitted:

See how the bolts don't hang down as much as the factory ones:

Steering extension:

Radiator Drop Bracket

Because Tim has the diesel, This is how he extended the air inlet (parts not included in the kit):

I'll try and find out more about the air filter extension.

looks great rod, wish this was around a year ago haha, looks great!! any new lux owner should take full advantage of this kit, along side a 2" suspension lift it would be an extremely practical combination

I would love to do a body lift on my truck although i have the problem of the ARB bar which will look rather strange with a 50mm gap.

Dan,
I think Mmaaxx has a bracket for that. I will try and find the tread.

I wish I could find Max's thread on lifitng the ARB bar. He did have a plate designed to do it but Twsty came up with a better idea which was to cut the ARB crush cans off and reweld them 50m mm higher.

Broke, If you were keen, have a chat to Leo at All Terrain 4x4 in the Homemaker Centre in Prescott Strret and see if he wold be prepared to have a go at it fixing the bar for you.

Ken, i am at a disadvantage becasuse I don't have an ARB bar. Howerve, I thought that the underbody plates for it just bolted to the bar, not back to the crossmember under the radiator. If am right, they all should go up with it.

No, I don't cover that bit but I tell you how to fix it. You just need some 50mm thick high density foam glued to the engine cover. Does not look too bad if done right. I've got another idea too but it is a bit more involved to space down the rubber skirt 50mm.

You can get aluminium channel that is 50mm wide x 25 mm high. The thought is to make a box with the channel and put the flat side on the inside. Then you would remove the skirt, drill some holes and clip/bolt this box between the bonnet and the skirt. The surface of the bonnet is not flat so there will need to be some self adhesive foam or silastic to fill some gaps but I think the skirt is flexible enough to account for this.

For the record (after looking at the pics above), the diesel kit now includes an aluminium air inlet extension and a vacuum line extension for the brakes.

Yes, 14 pages of instructions.

The spacer sounds awesome. If you come up with a solution, let me know as it could become a product on the VMN store if you are up for it.
