No problem at all, I have sent a few kits your way. It looks like I can get a steering extension to you for about AUD $26.00 including insurance. Send me a PM with your shipping address, email and phone number and we'll take it from there.

Just read the "Bible"
I'm going to use solid 25mm (1") thick Teflon, (stuff chopping boards are made from). Do you think this will be OK? Only using this as I have some laying around
Ive done bodylifts in the past on GQ Patrols and a 80 series cruiser I owned. Not that hard and by reading the Hilux should be easier again. Just to clarify also, the blocks sit on top of the original mounts?
Cheers

Hey guys! I did my vmn body lift ages ago, great kit by the way! Am about to hit the vic high country on the weekend and notice the rubber boot around the steering shaft has torn because of the angle it's being pulled on. Anyone else noticed this or have and fixes for the issue? Don't like the idea of getting wet carpet! Cheers!

Quick question.
I read somewhere that fourbys at marooka brisbane were doing the vmn bodylift installs.
does anyone know if they still do it?
and at what cost?
Many thanks
Brock

want to try a VMN kit. i have a 2014 diesel dualcab.

To install the lift kit... what do you need exactly, what type of tools?
Is it difficult?

The kit is very easy to install but I'm a mechanic. I did mine at home with basic tools a couple bottle jacks, one scissor jack (cos I did the tub on my own), a few blocks if wood, a couple extra hands and a few tins to keep us well lubricated! Two guys with basic or little mechanical knowledge could do it in a day easy. Just have a good read of the instructions b4 you start and you'll be fine.

Greetings from Belgium.
My lux is getting his 3" body lift this week to fit my 33x12,5's
I've machined my blocks in black Ertacetal, made radiator brackets, bought myself an extra steering shaft and welded it to length.
So I'm ready to install everything I guess.
I've read that the air intake hose needs lengthening and some vacuum hose.

Is there anything that I forgot?

I'm also reading that you guys from VMN deliver a good manual with your body lift kits, is there any way that you can email that to me? I know you've put a lot of hard work in it, so I'm willing to pay for it.
here's my email: den_jerre123@hotmail.com

Many thanks,
Jeroen

Jeroen you would be better to pm Rod W as I don't think he gets on here too often.
3 inches is a big body lift, If you have a wellback tub you may need to extend your filler neck and breather.
Hope you are confident in your welding skills, if that steering fails it could be very dangerous. Rods 2 inch kit has an engineered extension that fits over both the shafts once they are seperated at the OEM steering joint. ( No welding involved.)

Als het klaar is Jeroen, fotos!

Zit op mijn 3" lift te wachten nu. Heb nu een complete arb kit van 30 mm en ga de voor shocks vervangen door Radflo en nieuwe totalchaos triangel. En unichip

Thx for the reply kyle, yes I have some 35mm ss tube for extending the filler, what do you mean with the breather? I'm 100% confident about the steering shaft, I've sawed it in 2 and machined a bushing that fits both parts of the shaft very tight, extended this 70mm and welded the whole thing together ;)
