If they went over my rig with a fine tooth comb the last thing they'd be worried about is the body lift!

How have people modded they're bar work to suit?
Specifically arb bullbar and steps.
Did the bar work on my old 1kz lux post body lift and was pretty easy just curious what others have done. And also what's the effect, if any, on airbag use.
Cheers

I did my body lift prior to my bar work cos I knew it'd be a prick. Has no affects on airbags if done correctly!

Great thread about lifting the Hilux!

I read through it and I am wondering why the rear brake hose is not mentioned at all.
In my case (06 Hilux 2,5 D4D, Extra-cab, MT, 50mm springs + 40mm BL) it was important that the hose was lengthened also.
With the stock hose it is too tight at full suspension extension:

Also what do you guys think, shouldn't the brake balance(?) adjuster rod also be repositioned by adjusting the nuts?:

Also, I noticed that after the BL the gear levers are no longer sealed properly to their rubber bushings. Should they be and how have you done it?

Thanks!

Brake lines are unaffected by a body lift. That is a result of the suspension lift.
VMN has an extended brake line available that will fix that

Some people space up that lower mounting bracket.

We also have an extended brake bias rod available which will fix the brake adjustment as you may run out of thread to get the adjustment right.

DOn't forget we also haev mud skirt kits and intercooler spacers available to finish of your body lift...

How tough would this be? I have the arb side steps and the sahara winch bar. I think I would probably only go 1.5 inches though with the british kit. Add that to the sunni 4" kit and Im in 35 territory. I better get onto Fourbys to order in the m-16 swampers :)

I heard people were nervous that the winch would be dangerous to use if i lifted the bar as it wouldn't be attached to the chassis as strongly as before

i fabricayed new mounts extending the bumper mounts 40mm lower.this seems to do the trick however ill see what the cert guy says.

Has anyone had issues with the steering column? Mine has a spacer fitted but still rubs on the bottom part of the firewall boot.

Just adjust the steering wheel height in the cabin. This will change the shaft angle which should do the trick.

A very small percentage of cars over the last 15 years(count on one hand kind of stuff) have reported this issue but we have never observed it ourselves so do not have a solution. (other than above)
