Tokico 48510-0KC40 fit in N70?

Hi All,

I've come into possession of a 2006 SR5 N70 that's done about 300k km's on original running gear. After looking at the effort (and cost) involved in adding a 2 inch lift + larger tires, I've decided to keep this as stock as possible to minimize wear on other components and extend it's running life. I came across a useful YouTube video that shows the steps involved in renewing the front suspension and noticed the guy in the video replaced the original genuine suspension (Tokico 48510-35240) with the N80 suspension (Tokico 48510-0KC40). I emailed Tokico to understand the the 0KC40 superseded the 35240 however I don't think i'll ever hear back, so thought i'd check with the brains trust on here.

I understand most here will recommend after market, but I'm honestly looking to keep this rig as budget as possible! These shocks can be had for next to nothing and I can only assume would offer an improvement over what it's currently running.

Appreciate any advice!
