old suspension, replacing older suspension

old suspension, replacing older suspension

Hi,

scoured the forum but haven't really found a definitive answer, hate to make a new post but ill delete it asap. Im looking at getting the shocks and coils out of a 2014 hilux and putting them into my 07. I can't afford a full lift kit and I'm getting some pretty bad sag. can someone tell me if this just a straight swap out? and if it is will I need to use a coil compressor to get it out or can I get the springs out still with the nuts in on the top? Driving back home to Broome soon and want to know that old faithful will survive.

thanks in advance

Yep should be a straight swap. The front struts will come out without the need for a spring compressor but if you want to remove the springs off the struts - you will need a compressor.
I might be wrong.
