SuperPro Offset Lower Control Arm

SuperPro Offset Lower Control Arm

Postby Spitfia on Sun, 21 Oct 2018 4:49 +0000

Just wondering If anyone has any experience with these SuperPro offset LCA's?

I need to replace my bushings and pins as i cant keep my front end in alignment and I'm also a bit suss on my ball joints so i figured id just do the whole LCA, i do have access to a press at work so i could just do the bushings although not sure what can of worms i will be opening trying to remove the old bushings. i only have 2" lift so i am wondering if the offset is necessary. any advice in this would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

I don't know anything about the superpro unit but when I was looking at doing this I found the genuine LCA including ball joint and bushes on partsouq for $320 delivered.

They landed at my door in a week.
I might be wrong.

Oh yeah, I found the LCAs here - an interesting find...

I know that many prados have flogged their LCA bushes and people here have needed to replace the lower ball joints due to normal wear and tear (read mud and damaged ball joint boots). But I'm otherwise unsure about the need for further "corrections" as the stock LCA has ample adjustment. It's the lack of adjustment and clearance of UCA that is the problem.

thanks mate. I figured that might be the case. I am assuming that these offset LCA's are more for huge lifts like 4" or more

It's only a camber increase, so must be for over-the-top mall crawler lifts, caster is the issue most have, ie: firewall clearance for bigger tyres.

Hey Spitfia,
Did you end up installing the SuperPro LCAs? If so; what do you think of them?
