reduce rear ride height

reduce rear ride height

Postby fullthrottle on Sat, 23 Jun 2018 11:11 +0000

Gday guys, Have a bit of a look through search but not finding the info I am after.

I have a 2012 sr D/Cab and am looking to get the ride more level by reducing the rear ride height. (going against the grain I know :? )

Front suspension is std and measures 505mm from wheel center and rear is 585mm. So is pretty nose down at the moment I understand the std front height shoud be 520mm so have about 15mm sag due to an arb bull bar.

My question is am I able to bring the rear down to say 530-540mm as I would rather lose the height on the rear as I need to get into the tray often for work. Also I am sure it would make a more balanced ride and increased traction over rear.

Any information woud be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If they are factory and ya have a bullbar hanging of the front then I'd get some heavier springs put in the front to pick it up again. From factory they do nose dive a lot, it's just they way they are set up to carry load and for the brake bias.

Yeah a set of springs shouldn't set you back too much, aftermarket suspension improves EVERYTHING about the car.

you can just get your springs reset. it's pretty easy and i think most suspensions shops can do it.
