Springs and Shocks from new model to a 2012

Postby NomadNoosa on Thu, 21 Jun 2018 5:58 +0000

Hi All,

No such thing as a dumb question right......so don't shoot me down too hard.

With all the new hiluxes around and everybody seemingly lifting them there is a plethora of cheap OEM parts availble. My question is would these fit a 2012 to 2015 model?

My front end is getting a bit tired and as mentioned in my intro thread I am not looking at spending too much on the Hilux........

Thanks in advance.

I’d give you all the stuff off my 2011 that came off when it was about two years old and 25,000km but they were sagged to buggery. Standard stuff not worth having, better off buying used aftermarket stuff.

Thanks for the offer HK.
Yeah I am tossing up which way to go. Given This car doesn't do high K's anymore If a set of a new one fits I will use it for a while. I just dropped a few bucks lifting the 200 so doing it again on this isn't really appealing to me, especially as it needs new rubber as well. And I dont want cheap shit chinese Swlippwery wen wett brand tyres either....so thought the suspension may not be to much of a compromise on a newish OEM set up, particularly as the front seems to sit a lot more level on current than earlier models. Any knowledge here greatfully received.

I suppose someone has to be the guinea pig ey? Give it a go and let us know if it fits

I've thought about the same on mine actually, oem is sagged heaps and dont wanna spend too much and dont need to lift it.
