Hey Guys

while i was washing my car i noticed there is a bit of a difference in gap between the top of the tyre to the bottom of the flair between front and back.

from ground to top of the flair in front is 87cm, from ground to top of the flair in the back is 94cm approximately

i have a 2013 SR5 with factory suspension 17inch wheels with 265/65/17 with BFG ko2s

is this by design for load or has my front suspension sagged?

thanks

To discuss height, measuring from centre of wheel hub to bottom of flare is to common way to measure suspension height. You will find this a standard understood by everyone as it gives you true suspension and won't include tire and rim size as these are different on every car.
You cannot compare front to rear as totally different.
I cant remember the factory height but some search on here should give you the answer so you can't work out how much sag you have. It is typical for the front to sag over time especially if you have a bull bar and winch. Mine sagged over an inch with just a bull bar in 12 months and that's after the front dropped with the bull bar weight alone.
The rear never really heard to much of them sagging.

I see you are in Sydney, do yourself a favour and talk to ultimate suspension for an upgrade.

Yeah front springs; factory and aftermarket will sag over time, the leaf rears will last a hell of alot longer.

That's why you see most utes out there with droopy noses.

Forward rake is normal and important for maintaining a level, balanced handling vehicle when you have a load in the back. Remember these cars are rated to carry near a ton in the rear which drops the suspension.

From memory 200kg in the rear of my stock car dropped the back by 45mm. Chuck 500kg in the back of a stock vehicle and the rear will be lower than the front.

Level cars look nicer and that's why a lot of people put a spacer on the front or just uprate the front coils. That is fine if you never carry a load or, if you do, it isn't much and/or you don't drive on the Highway or off road.
