Anti Rattle Spring

Hey guys

took the car for a service to a dealership and told them i have a bad leaf spring squeak as it seems pretty common and their tech said its a "Anti Rattle Spring" - i have tried to google this part but all i come up with is brake anti rattle springs

does anyone know what is this part exactly?

We deal with squeaky leaf springs all the time. Sometimes caused be guys pressure washing dirt deep into the pack but most are just dry! Grab a pry bar or even a big flat blade screwdriver, jack the ute up on the chassis so the wheels can hang, use the screwdriver to separate the ends of the leaves and apply some moly grease to the wear pads between each leaf. Should shut it up.

have you ever heard of an anti rattle spring before?

Yes thats for the front brake. The OP was referring to a leaf spring squeak.
I might be wrong.
