Nolathane bushes with greasable shackles should do the trick... they used to hold up pretty good in the work utes as long as we kept the grease into them

Looks pretty dry, did it have a grease nipple?

Looks very dry! I see plenty of rear ones wear out but the front is unusual, that center tube looks odd too! I don't recall the ome ones having grooved ends like that. Not overloaded at all?

Rear schakels have Grease nipples. Front don't have any. Leave springs are a +200 kg set. Normally drive with 100-150 kg extra, holiday trips maybe 200-250 kg. Yes they where very dry but unable to grease unless taken apart. All was installed 2 1/2 yrs ago by an arb/ome dealer. Have new ones coming under warranty. Hope they'll last longer.

Regardless of ks, if they were done that long ago the grease would have dried out! Factory ones are non serviceable rubber ones but your polyurethane ome ones need to be periodically greased! Glad ya got a free set tho!

On the new Hilux I got greasable pins on both ends of the leaf spring. Thats through ultimates suspension though. Not sure if its the same part for previous shape

Viper82, do you have a part no for the greasable front pins. I assume they are / should be the same size. Would make it a lot easier to grease them .

No I don't sorry. Give ultimate suspension a call and see if they also make them for the n70. I got my suspension through a 4wd mechanic shop here in adelaide which fits ultimates suspension.

I've noticed a knock in the rear of my 06 Hilux for a while now and thought it was just the spear wheel moving around when hitting the entrance to a drive way on the angle or a large bump. Didn't tighten the wheel holder for ages because I had Child seats in and there a prick to take out to get the the tools. So I tightened it up yesterday. No change. This morning had a look under neath and found that my ome front left bushing to be destroyed. Makes me feel like an idiot for not checking earlier. Anyone got a rough idea on a cost to replace these bushings?

Wouldn't be much mate, id say roughly 20-30 for the bushes and an hour a side the fit them. If one is buggered the other won't be far off but make sure ya get it done soon cos once they got completely they have a tendency to snap the whole bottom eye off the strut.
