If these work half as good as they look, then they could be a winner 8-)

Who's going to be first to give them a go?

Quote ARB

After 4 years in development, we’re excited to announce a revolutionary new product from OME… BP–51.

Featuring fully adjustable bypass technology and utilising state of the art materials, BP-51 shock absorbers and coil overs provide the ultimate in ride and performance over all terrains, delivering true racing technology for everyday applications. Check out the video for a sneak peek.

RRP (Australian east coast metro areas): Shocks $550, coil over assembly (includes coil and shock) $845.00. Vehicle specific fit kits additional. Fit kit pricing available once product becomes available. Contact your local ARB store/stockist for further details.

Please note – limited stock will be available in Australia from early 2015 for initial applications (Toyota LandCruiser 200 Series and HiLux 2005+ models).

Limited availability throughout international markets will commence in the 2nd quarter of 2015. Further applications will be announced as they become available.

From reading this, one would assume $1690.00 supplied for the front only and maybe $1100+ leaves for the rear

Thanks for the welcome Mitch, these forums are a bit tricky, hopefully I'll get the hang of it soon enough.

This was posted on another forum about these shocks

The son of the engineer at work was one of the team who designed & developed these. He's not forthcoming with much intel, but his son did spend a few years in the you.S. working for Fox, so would expect him to have picked up a thing or 2.

That's probably why he's not working for them anymore and is out here...

These shocks are being tested on a couple of the Production Class cars competing in the Australasian Safari, starting in Perth today.

The Safari will be a real life test of these shocks, our car has 6 of them and I'll be watching closely how they perform as I'm keen to be able to adjust the rebound on my rears. Watch this space.

I'm just back from racing Australasian Safari as part of the Service Crew on the Owen Truss Isuzu MUX, that had these shocks as part of OME trials and the results are very good.
We had an OME teck along with the team ---

This is Bill at work under the car, cant show you his face because he's an OME Teck.
The car had double shocks on each corner

Image

and through the race they were removed and checked. the blue strip on the front shocky is heat sensative and used to check the max temp the shocky reached. Throughout the Safari none of them exceeded their normal operating temperature.

Image

During the Safari the car was raced hard and subjected to more punishment than a normal car would recieve in a lifetime and the shocks performed very well. They were easy to adjust and Reg was able to get the compression and rebound right for the car set up very quickly.
At the end of 7 days and 3500km of racing, the Service Crew

and Support Crew

packed a dirty and battered car away and had a quiet drink to reflect on the past week.
The OME shocks performed very well and did everything they claim to do. I have recently fitted new Bilsteins to the rear of the Survey Wagon so cant justify the $$ to change now but will certainly follow the progress of these shocks as I can see the benefit of adjustable rebound dampening on the rear of my set up.
They were laying around everywhere ---

--- but none to fit my Hilux.

ARB had them mounted to a couple of vehicles at the Vic Caravan & Camping Show. Hilux, Prado and 200 Series. Talked to Brighton ARB Manager there and he said they broke a 200 series when testing. They look the bomb and will be going on the next Hilux but that's another 18mths away.
