Drivetech 4x4 2" lift Kit

Drivetech 4x4 2" lift Kit

Postby cjdavis on Fri, 07 Nov 2014 8:02 +0000

Hey guys.. I've searched the forums and can't seem to find any info on this topic so I had to start this one..
Does anyone use the Drivetech 4x4 2" suspension lift kit? What is their opinion on it? I have been speaking to the guys from "The Ultimate Suspension" and they sell and recommend the kit as a cheaper option to their premium kit.. Just wanted to know if anyone has had first hand experience with them (being the kit).. Please help......

You are honestly better off getting the ultimate kit. For about $1900 delivered they are very competitive. I have just ordered my second kit through them because of the quality of the setup.
If you go cheap you end up spending the same if not more than just doing it right the first time.

Yeah I'd love to go with the Ultimate Kit but budget just won't stretch that far.. Surely if the guys at Ultimate Suspension are happy to put their name behind the Drivetech kit and recommend it as a cheaper option to their own kit, it must be of an acceptable quality. 80% of the time the Lux is the misses drive car as I have a company vehicle.. We don't do a lot of extreme 4wding mainly setting it up for a trip to Darwin and back next year.. Was just going to replace with std height suspension but thought May as well lift it and make it more capable off road..

Is there a big price difference?
If the trip isn't till next year, might be worth waiting an extra few weeks or months and getting the extra bit of difference. You can't fault the Ultimate Kit. I'm sure if Ultimate recommends drivetech as a cheap option, it'll still be good but I think you'd notice the difference quite a bit in quality.
Cheers,
Jay

I'm not sure if it is public knowledge yet, but Ultimate is branching out a bit

they'll have a sister company that sells 3 lines of suspension.

Drivetech for the low end
Ultimate for the mid-range
and DMS for the high end

whichever you choose, it'll still have the same guys behind it, so it's a win either way

Hey Guys, yeah the difference is about $700.00 between the 2 kits.. Normally this wouldn't even be a question of which kit.. But I still need to get MCC rear bar, snorkel, new tires and flares.. So when you add it all together some thing needs to give.. That was my thought as we'll, if the guys at ultimate are happy to associate themselves with the Drivetech kit, it must have some qualities about it.. So many decisions.. Anyone run with Raw, Ironman or ToughDog kits.. What are thoughts on those kits??

Thanks Jakelux .. Yeah when you think about it any upgrade from a 7 year old set of suspension has too have some great benefits..
