That's what I think anyway. Just putting the questions out there.
You probably will need to alter your bull bar as it will obscure your headlights and make it illegal anyway. This is fairly visible so quite printable.

Yes I did use some silcon to seal it up after I had clamped it all up, I'm not sure if it was necessary or not but I did it for piece of mind since the stainless didn't have any lip to help the clamp hold. I should have taken a photo at the time.
And that stainless pipe was 5" long, definitely don't quote me but I think it was 3" diameter? Someone else might know? Or check your intake pipe before you go hunting for pipe. You probably already know but make sure the pipe you add in is spotless clean and no burr's hanging off it.

that'll be the last piece of the puzzle before i start this lift and inbetween perform some surgery on this body mount!

Thats just a two inch lift as well.

Not that Ive heard of, only adjustment is getting used to the gear stick being a little shorter, that only takes 5 minutes.
No problems with gear changes at all

Yer definitely feels different with a shorter gear stick, I'm used to it and it now feels awkward jumping back in a lux without the bodylift.
I know some people have adjusted the floor pan around the transfer case lever.

Called up autobarn and they have 76mm intake flexi pipe for air intakes and intercool systems. Comes in 1.5m length for 35 bucks so i reckon i'll grab one of them and use original clamps, cut to size and hopefully bob's your uncle!

Not sure how thats going to work unless your planning to replace the hole length. Would you like me to get a photo of how we did it?

Hey Guys,
I'm not all that mechanical savy and most of the stuff that gets said on here just goes way over my head when it comes to extending pipes and dropping things (Some I understand). So I was wondering if I was to purchase one of these body lift kits would someone in Perth be able to help me install it? I have access to a shed and hoist (if needed). I already have a 2" Suspension lift (Tough Dog) and was looking at the 2" Body Lift (seeing as some people were saying there is a bit more hassle with the 1")
After some more reading around here and also the web I wasn't able to find out if it was legal in WA past 2" or as soon as I did it I would need to get an Engineer cert.
Any help would be much appreciated possibly from some Perthians that have already done it

If you go a 2'' body lift aswell as a 2" suspension lift then thats deffinately not legal - Its only a 2" suspension lift OR a 2" body lift that keeps you legal as far as i know anyway !

one problem
the airbag indicator is on. anyone else get this?
would it be the correct idea just to take it into toyota and get it reset? or do i take another path?
Would it be dangerous to drive with this indicator on, which is telling the computer that i've hit something?

Maybe air bag clock spring? Was the steering wheel kept still while changing the steering? I think I seen somewhere on here a hard fast knock can bust the spring which brings on the light. It should bring up an error code on a scan gauge or take it to Toyota to check? I'd say it'll be fine to drive.

please help
i have a 2012 xtra cab and have lifted the cab 2inches using steel box pipe, im having problems with my adjustable steering column. i loosened off a coupling that seems to have given me the length i need on my steering shaft, (located inside the engine bay, beside the turbo exhaust exit) but my steering wheel wont lock into place. it keeps falling in my lap? its like the leaver isnt clamping the wheel in position securely. (however it is still slightly clamping, and if not used the wheel will support its own weight.) feeling hesitant to remove the steering wheel. ild rather pull the dash apart if the fix is as simple as tightening a bolt.
any advice or experience would be appreciated.

Did you put a steering extension onto the steering arm in the engine bay?
