I've got that setup. EFS 300kg constant load raised 2" and firestone airbags fitted too. Pretty much the most perfect setup for me as im carrying round an extra 250kg of weight all the time and 3 times a week i then fully load the ute with cement / ladders more materials.

Without the extra gear i only need 5 psi in bags as the springs are excellent in their own right, when i load up with the xtra materials i pump it up to 20 or 30 psi and its fantastic.

Must be said that this type of setup would limit rear suspension travel somewhat as the bags can only stretch so far, whereas having just the 2" lifted springs would flex quite a bit more...

For future reference you should always talk to the GURU of suspension Brendan @ Ultimate ;)

Just thought id throw in an update, picked the lux up yesterday arvo form ARB South Rd, minus 1 leaf each side. sits nice now( get some pics up later) not even a hint of looking to charge me for labor. Sales rep then took me outside an showed me their Hilux (2011 i believe) with exactly the same set up they put on mine, it sat nice and level but it had everything they stock in it, including a water tank behind the rear seat, a bigger one up the front of the tub, draws, fridge, rear and side steps, canopy, r/racks, awnings .ect....

i give them Kudos for the 4hr labor they didnt charge for, but they shouldnt have told me to go that heavy with nothing but a hard lid and a fridge.

Here's the paper work

still they were vry helpfull in the end.
Thx ARB

Hi guys.

I got a 2009 d/c sr5. I need to raise my front. I got a arb deluxe bar ,31 all terrains.
Now I've been looking at buying a heavy duty spring and using the original shock which will lift it too stock height.. At the moment I'm sitting at 685. OR do I buy a tough dog 2 inch lift kit. I basically want the car to sit level and look nice. Don't carry to much in the rear either..
What do I do?
Share some photos and info on what you have done..

Hey all, im looking at getting a lift kit for my 07 hilux, i have a contact at peddars suspension, who will look after me but i dont know much bout their product. Does anyone have any experience with peddars? Would u recomend them?
I had my father in law who is a mechanic who could of got me king springs through his work but now has changed jobs. Do i stick with the kings, or go the peddars. Prices are bout the same

Even though I am running pedders springs up front. I have had nothing but crap with there setups in my past performance cars.

I would never go to them for a full suspension upgrade.

Did they base the heavy's on your specs to tow a Camper trailer into the equation? Hence why the heavy setup?

yeah, the Ultimate kit is good. Mine barely moved from install height (2" comfort pack)

after my bullbar and winch install, I went back to Ultimate and upgraded the front to a HD spring and monotube strut. seriously good shit!

I'm thinking of getting a 2inch tough dog setup up front and staying stock in the back for now or maybe some buds extended shackles

Anyone else using the 41mm foam tough dog shocks?
Or the tough dog springs
Going to purchase from 4wd1.com and fit myself

A mate of mine has the foam shocks and hates them on the road but they hold up better on corrugations
So if you are on road a lot go the gas ones.
Just my 2 cents.

It's the wire size mate you really want, as you can see a 1.5mm advantage to the kings!!
