Hey Hamlux.
Mixing and matching never really ends up well. I've never heard of suspension with self adjusting technology inside it either yet.
I would go and see somebody else.
All modern shock absorbers have "velocity sensitive valving" (high and low speed valving). This means the faster you drive, the more resistance/control the shock provides. I believe this what they would be talking about with their "self adjusting technology".

I went the Kings Calloffroad/Bilstein set up for a few reasons, the front struts are adjustable so you can move the spring seat up if you have to, I had Cal send the Bilstien gear to me and had Kings install it all on the Goldie.
I've had it in for about 15k k couple trips to Straddie and Fraser fully loaded and towing either Camper of boat, but still drives nice even completely empty. Currently she sits at 770 mm bot of rim to under side of flare so about a 60 mm lift over standard.
So during the school hols drop the misso and kids at Sea World
and run over to Kings factory for fitment.
My setup was $1900 all up installed.

Hi Hamlux. Are you saying arb do an extended shackle ? Fit trim packers not strut spacers

Hey guys just bought a 2006 kun26r dual cab 4x4
Now I done a bit of reading on here and found out some info already
Its already lifted and has dobbinsons shocks/springs and rear greaseable shackles
So my utes measurements are
Bottom of rim measurement
Front 730
Rear 850
With 16" rims
What I want to know is how to I raise up the front to match or come close to the rear or which springs to get P/N would be great, I'd like to aim at around 800mm? Will I need to do more then just change out the front springs

Try measuring from the centre of the hub to the underside of the gaurd, also check tyre pressure and then you will have a more acurate measo
2" lift sits asround the 520mm mark
if its close it sounds like springs have compressed or shock fail.

I purchased Aussie Ryder struts and raised comfort coils from Ultimate suspension which were supposed to give me a 2 inch lift in the front, I have a 2013 SR5 dual cab with no accessories fitted and it only came up 35mm. It now sits at;

Yeah mate i got the same result. Bit miffed about it too. I questioned it and got told by them that 35mm is the maximum safe lift but he would make it 50mm if i wanted but i'd be shredding cv's. Still doesn't change the fact it was advertised as a 50mm lift when they know full well it only gives 35mm.
I had already payed by the time i read about it in the forum and couldn't be bothered arguing the point on the phone cause it made no sense. Also took forever to get it, ordered it mid november and got it late december. It's a good product don't get me wrong, but it's hard to be positive with business dealings like this. I just want the honest truth when i buy something.

Hey guys. It's disappointing to hear some of these comments. I will follow up each of these points and get it sorted.

With our 2" kit, the front end should be sitting around 550-560. The standard height on the hilux was always 500-510 which is where the 50mm lift comes from. The RTA now lists the standard height as 520 which is why we have to inform customers it's only a 35mm lift on most new vehicles. In saying this, the front end end should still end up around 550-560. 99% of the time, the correct height is achieved and there are no issues. Different factors and vehicle variations can affect this though which is why I need to be contacted if there is an issue.
Raising a Hilux to 570 usually throws out the alignment (requires offset bushes or replacement control arms), reduces droop and does put more wear on CVs.

Apologies to Brendan @ ultimate, I just found out that the reason my ute only came up 35mm with their kit installed was because my mechanic didn't put the 15mm spacers in as he thought it would have lifted the ute too much, although he didn't let me know this until I went back and questioned him about it. Brendan has been very helpful even though it was not his fault and I would highly recommend ultimate suspension

I'll defiantly back ULTIMATE SUSPENSION and recommend them to anyone. Not only for 2" but lower or higher. Excellent service and they are happy to help out in any area of your Hilux. The suspension in my ute improved handling and i have soooo much flex now! Love it. It is hard to get good service in the automotive industry, but these guys are some of the best! I am a very happy customer and will be heading back out there soon once i get a bar on. Very very happy customer here.

My 2" bilstein/kingspring KTFR 101H combo sits at 550f and 630r (hub to wheel arch)nstalled with a Opposite Lock steel bullbar fitted. Using the Highest circlip setting Castor is only just in the positive at +1.25 and +1.10

I have dealt with Ultimate Suspension with my current and older hilux. On both occasions they have been fantastic and cheaper than the competition. I initally raised the front and wasnt where I wanted to be, next week free of charge I was sent spacers to lift it again, now im sitting @ 570 from rim, the best I can get out of it....now I just want to go higher.....I also repacked the rear as I added more gear and found Ultimate to be very helpfull with this. All up I have tweaked the suspension 4 times because I wanted it perfect and did it at home myself. The next ute I get will run ultimate again.

Hey guys looking at doing a lift, leaning towards the king spring bilstien setup for the front, just a quiery with the rear does it hold up well if you just change the shocks and keep the leaf setup? Does it flex any better? Was looking at Bilsteins all round for shockies, as from what I read and see here they are one of the best going around.
Also my vehicle is a 2010 my11 with the vsc/tc safety systems will the lift in the front only cause any issues?

The standard rear springs are the roughest riding piece of agricultural engineering that I have had the displeasure to be carried around on.
Dunno how much difference shocks alone will make. I have always changed both and enjoyed the relief that came from the change.
NOTE: I have seen what could be worse in stupidly (for the application) heavy aftermarket setups, but have minimal direct experience with them.
