Fox 2.0 spring rate?

Fox 2.0 spring rate?

Postby SC162 on Fri, 10 Jun 2016 4:55 +0000

So I'm getting a set of Fox 2.0's installed and just looking for someone to set this straight, the place I've bought em from say that the stock spring they come with is fine (for my car with a steel bullbar) and they just wind it up more to allow for the extra weight, but I was speaking to another distributor who says you need to change the spring. Also noticed monster rides mention spring rates to suit what you have on the car. So should the ability to adjust the shock be enough, or should they be changing the spring?
Thanks

Well after looking into it abit more the 2.0 comes with a 500 lb spring as standard, which I've been told is borderline with a steel bullbar on, but if I add a winch would deff need to step it up to a 550 or 600 lb spring. Will see I guess...

I thought factory for
diesel engine with 15 and 16" alloy wheels was 610 and with all steel wheels or 17"+ alloy 640,
petrol engine with steel wheels 575
farting is alot like jxxxxxg off. both provide instant gratification, but neither is a long term solution to the actual problem......................

I've honestly got no idea, and being new to this am relying on the local shop to know their shit, and tbh they have not filled me with confidence. It's been one of the worst experiences I've ever had buying a product and I just hope it turns out alright lol
