Hi All,

I have a 2010 2WD SR dual cab with stock 15" steel wheels and crappy tyres. I want to put on some stock 17/7.5" SR5 wheels/tyres.

Will this work? Will I have enough clearance? Hoping it'll be a straight swap.

Thanks.

Hi Mate, what tyre size do you have here, I just put the same rims on my lux with 265/65/17 tyres fitted and they a bit wider than the guards (no flares)

Stock sr5 rim with the stock tire (Bridgestone duler H/T 265/65/17) the rim itself is inline with the guards around all corners, the tire tread is also with in the guards BUT the side walls are 'bulging' out... Out of curiosity what tires do you have? I'm due for a change....

I'm due for a change soon too, I also have the "bulge" happening as I also have 265/65/17 tyres fitted like I said.
I think I will will look at other options when replacing them, 245's maybe??

Hi I have put 2015 17" alloys on 2010 SR. Is this legal as the wheels are a lot heavier than the steel wheels and there may be an issue on breaking performance. I see later model Hilux (2015) have bigger discs and calipers.

Been there had some headaches.
My suggestion would be width 7 for rims 16', 245 x80 or 255x75 with 1inch front lift.
NB offset 30. No flares no problems. Don't save money on this setting. Can post images. Thanks everyone who helped with their experience. Good luck.

I currently have 17 inch SR5 rims on my 2010 hilux (factory flares fitted). Tyres are standard 265/65/17

Will a new set of SR5 2018 rims with factory 265/60/18 fit without rubbing?

Thanks

I'm interested in this, just picked up a 2014 4x4 sr, I'm looking at buying 2nd hand stock black sr wheels and all seem to be 2016 and on, is this a weight issue? Do they fit correctly? Some listing say that they are only compatible with 2015 on.

Cheers
