My guess is that the tyre guy would be breaking the law if he fitted illegal tyres so ask if he will guarantee the tyre is legal ;)

The problem is that the tyre placard shows I can have them as the 109 rated BFG meet the axel requirements but I am pretty sure in the owners manual it states 112 load rated. :?:

Might take the owners manual in too and as you said get them to provide guarantee it.

I would go with the placard. Owners manual may have been switched out from different vehicle. If you have a GVM upgrade though, it would be reasonable for the load rating of the tyres to increase accordingly.

I know this is the gen 7 page but has anyone noticed the gen 8 only runs 110 rated tyre as stock.
Considering it can tow 3.5 t

Claimed 3.5tonne. Normally far less once you’ve loaded the vehicle and accounted for accessories, and 3.5tonnes really only adds 350kg to the rear axle loading anyway.
