hi there
I own a Hilux 2wd 2010 model king cab , I have read lots of comments on strut and leaf spring spaces and shackles and have been told by snake performance that these are legal, 50mm rise in suspension lift in all states, is this true .

You might want to check if extended shackles are legal in your state. I can't remember what the latest laws are saying, but they probably aren't legal.
I might be wrong.

Was originally going to run extended shackles and Colorado springs on my build, but found out that not even engineers can get them certified. Pretty sure they're illegal in all states, which sucks, especially when you look at how solid the aftermarket extended shackles are compared to OE.

I think they're outlawed because they're too easy to make your own sketchy backyard version and you're messing around with the suspension geometry? I know a bunch of guys run them with Colorado leafs though, meant to give way more flex and a much less harsh ride. I'd love to do it but I'd rather be insured.

Yeah that's what i thought.

I'm running buds custom stealth 0.75in lift shackles on stock springs. These shackles are massive compared to the stock parts but dont look like anything that was fabbied in a backyard. Resetting the springs is the obvious way to do this right, but at the time it wasn't an option for me.
