Cheers mate, but I'm planning on keeping my search for rims strictly 'non-genuine' haha
I might be slow, but I'm rough.......

I'm sure you've probably written this somewhere on here Josh, but what rims are you going to run with the new tyres?

Im already running the 31/10.5/r15 KM2's on these CSA rims http://www.mullins.com.au/stw-rangerblack.asp
so wont be changing the rims just getting the bigger tyres

Just a quick note on these tyres. Been driving round on them for a day or so now and have noticed a fair difference in both acceleration and braking performance so i would recommend a regear and at least a set of good pads for anyone going to run these tyres. Lucky mines booked in for just that and lockers in a little over a week  They do look awesome though !!!!
Oh and ive got a d4d manual in case anyone was wondering.

Ok so I've been lurking at all of the tire threads and think I now have a plan I'm currently running 2" lift in the front of my 2010 sr5 and 31/10.5 15 factory rims
Next set of rubber will be 33/10.5 15. Just want to make sure I understood everything correctly
As far as I know I still need a bit more lift in the front so I will go strutt spacers and bump stop extensions.
The rear I will use 2" shackles.
Have I missed anything ? I know about the strutt spacer problems and all that but for my use they will be ok

Or is it just as useable to run 32/10.5/15 and not worry about the extra lift and legal/ insurance dramas
What to do what to do this forum is going to ruin me so many ideas  :D

Hi 10 Luxxxx,

I have a 2010 SR5 running 33x12.5x15 on a 2" lift on the front, no lift on the back and i have no 'general' city driving issues. When I'm 4x4ing i do get it rubbing on the front wheel arch on the back part where the mud guard goes. I have removed the mud guard but still an issue cauz of flexing in the front. Still trying to figure out what I'm going to do as the only way you can get around it is a 6" lift but $8000 later I'm not keen on that. I'd rather go a size lower in the tyre or start chopping the wheel arch. Chopping it then requires engineering and the B/S that goes with that.

I don't think with the 10.5 width u will have issues as its a decent amount narrower than what i have. I'm actually considering going to that size myself but still researching if it is a good move.

Keep in mind also i just found out today u need engineering in a 33' tyre as well. Unless u r mates with the guy that gives u a pink slip at that time of the year but then again not too sure how things will go with ur insurance if u get into a (god forbid) prang.

Let me know if u get any further answers, were both in the same boat i guess.

Almost certain a 6" lift would require engineering as well, but trimming the wheel arch guard........... not so much.

Grinding the body mount, now thats a different story  8-)

Thanks mate I will let you know but I think I will settle for 32/10.5 15 to avoid any rubbing and all the other b/s as well as not really wanting to use spacers.

Sure u wana use strut spacers mate, probly fine for round town but things go from bad to worse when your offroading, even with the longer bump stops its still not ideal.

Also lifted shackles are completely illegal for road use, your going to the effort of running 32's to stay sort of legal but with a shackle lift your just undoing all your good to work!
60% of the time, it works every time

Noidea ran these on a 2" lift with spring packersabout 10mm.

My front lift is about 70mm and I have no issue with rubbing.

Thanks mate that's the plan I will replace my strutts and lift the front another inch and reset the rears up 2 inches and should be all good. One last thing does a 33 spare fit under the back
