I have the arb brand flares and they push against the safari snorkel.....gave me dramas as they were not installed properly to begin with and still flex away from the panel occasionally.

When I got mine, There was only on eoption. I suspect it might be how far they go up the guard not how far they stick out. Ring Leon nad Utemart and ask!

Mine arrived today.
I went for Black, but not painted. My Defender had black flares on a white body. I'm not trying to make mine look like an SR5. I just want my wheels under the guards. The AT's are just protruding (245/70/16)
and the Muddies are on a deeper dished rim and stick out a bit more (30/9.5/15) but will be 10.5 or more when they are replaced.

Still happy after 18 months but with larger tyres I have ripped a couple of rear ones off when in reverse becasue the way the stock mudflaps mount...

I installed the 160mm utemart flaes prob about 2 weeks ago, they fit well but i'm finding that the rubber seals are slipping off. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Maybe i didn't install correctly, if so whats the correct way to install them?

Cheers Clae.

I think it is just a matter of seating them right. If you run your finger round the seal and press hard, they sort of slide back under the flare and sit where they are meant to and that is where they seem to stay..

Anyone know how big the SR5 flares are - 120 or 160? Any confirmation if the 160s will rub against a safari snorkle? Will be getting a set from utemart in preparation for the arrival of my new SR!

Cheers

I know people on this forum have good things to say about Utemart, but I have sent 2 emails to them with no response. I am looking to purchase some flares for the SR and would rather spend my money in Australia than the with international sellers on Ebay. I only need the front two in Charcoal Grey.

Just phone them mate. I have always found Leon obliging and if he is not there, ring his wife Jenny.

Dave, Call Leon mate. My flares are the earlier smaller ones (There was only one choice back then) and are not a problem with the snorkel at all.

Gonna do what Macca has done and pin the mud flaps back to the ARB rear bar with stainless cable. Now I am back from Coffs I will put my missing flare back on....

What and talk to a real person!

I will call them. Im stuck in the office for the next few days so its hard to call. I can easily send an email or lurk on the forum but its difficult to get the opportunity to call.

i got a 160mm set a couple of weeks ago from utemart, he helped me with cheap freight to darwin also, once painted in charcoal grey they look like genuine SR5 flares and the fit was great. all seals and fitting were included also.

I was contacted by Leon, but they are out of stock until April. Have taken a chance on the imports. Anybody need some rear flares in charcoal grey?

Ive recently fit a set of utemart front flares, in the textured black plastic version.
My ARB bar is the non flared version but I dont think its so obvious or ugly that Im rushing out to buy a new bar.

Pics in my shed.
