Yer mate, I never had the bumper part on. I reckon looks better without the bumper part. Get some sikaflex and use that instead of rubber. That's what I tend on doin.

Just confirming that these new style flares are wider than the previous flares sold by utemart?

utemart.com wrote:Hi Leon from utemart.com, it has taken us about 12 months to make the 160high x 55 wide flares, hight is 160mm,the same as SR5 so will be compatiable with snorkels. profile looks like a genuine flare product. the flare sits 55mm off the standard SR guard and is 25mm wider than the genuine SR5 flare. looks better with SR5 mudflaps (will have stock of mudflaps at a good price in about 14 weeks). the front guard flare finishes with a 90degree return like genuine flares. bull bar need to be SR5 or wider. we are looking at making our own bullbar (input of style would be appreciated). the bumper flare has been changed to give more clearance from the front of the tyre, about 35mm. bumper need o be cut for this. they are made from plastic like our other flares and double sided tape seals like our other flares. smooth colour coded. ring me 0409203804 and ask me for a forum 10% discount on this product till end of september. flares in stock ready to go
Big high five to Leon. Contacted him some 16 weeks ago about flares for my lux and was told my colour was about the only one they didn't have (5a7) and that it would be 14 weeks  Saw this post and rang at the end of september (in hope :? ) and was told mine weren't due until early october, however they would still honor the 10% sept discount :D ( Even though i had ordered them in june and paid for them today , and they were under no obligation to offer me the 10% off ). So for everyone else, that is how you DO business :D I will have no trouble recommending them to anyone who asks me. So again Leon and Jenny, a big thumbs up to you both ;) ;)

i put mine on over my days off and they look unreal. took me one day to fit 3 of them and then pretty much a whole day to do the last one. i think i might of messed up where the mounting points where when i flattened out the pinch weld. but all is good now just one little gap that ill fix up next days off. also thinking of using a bit of silicone to hold the rubber seal on a bit better the double sided tape that it comes with. be prepaired to put the flare on and off about 20 times each filing and shaping it each time.

the results are worth the extra effort

Looks good man. I found it really easy to install. Took abt 2hrs and it all lined up great. I would be using silicone. My rubber has started coming off and so mud and crap filing the flare

3 of mine were fairly straight forward but one of them i could stick my finger the whole way around between the flare and the panel. had to use a heat gun to bend it back about 10mm. mine havent started to come unstuck yet but they will that double sided tape is a joke ill be siliconing them this weekend

I just fitted some utemart flares on the weekend. Have a snorkel a no dramas. Only drama I have had is the rubber sticking. Seems to let go in the heat. I'll put a a bit osikaflex there a some stage to tidy it up. All in all though I think the look and do there job fine.

I have an arb deluxe sr5 bar to accommadate flares on my sr but do the wider flares fit between brush bars? Or am I going to have to use the standard flare? How much do they charge for the flares?

Cheers Mike

I've got the 55mm wide flares. Cost 260 no receipt or 300 with I think it was.. No idea if they"'ll fit within your bars .. But I have heard of ARB bars rubbing on sr5 flares... So doubt it'll fit..
