No I want close ups of the flare to front bar join, side on and front on. Not in your face shots just close enough to be able to put it in perspective and calculate the width of the gaps. I'd really appreciate it as I've been waiting a long time for these pictures. I have an SR with the bar to suit and I want flares to stop the mud and rocks from landing on my bonnet, windscreen and roof. But if the utemart flares look crap at the join I'll go with the 2 packets of Bushranger flare kits I have siting in the shed and I can make the transition look abit better, just the flare looks sh!t. Hope it's not to much of a hassle.

Cheers

There is nothing to worry about. These flares won't spoil the looks of your car. They will certainly look ncer than the bushmaster flare

Just the transition between the very front of the front flare and the bullbar. I don't care about the rear flares or the texture. I know utemart flares are a good product and they look good. I have exactly the same setup as Lancair. SR and exactly the same ARB bullbar that doesn't suit flares. I want to see how much wider the flares are than the bullbar. If you're looking at it from the front, can you see inside the flare? :? Do you know what I mean? It's just that join that bugs me when I visualise it. :x I need to see a good photo before I commit to buying them. The last photo in your shed Lancair is the most helpful but it's hard to see from a disctance because it's a black bullbar meeting a black flare, over a black tyre.
Sorry for rambling................................. :|

A mates hilux with the utemart flares...these are the Australian version that Leon sells. They do sit a little square off the front bumper, but not as bad as my genuine sr5 ones.

Maddog,
Ive uploaded some new pics. You cant see inside the flare. The front edge where the panel stops is closed off on the flare. You could always get the bottom piece from utemart and cut it to fit the wing of the bar but I couldnt be bothered. I dont think it looks too bad at all.

That's the shot. :D Yep, I see it is closed. And yep, it doesn't stick out to much. Side on, the angle of the flare and bullbar seem very similar where they meet. Thanks for your effort Lancair. Thanks Rob and Twisty also.

Hey guys i have a question regarding these flares where they meet the bar as well! the Hilux that i am currently looking at buying has the original Toyota steel bar, in time i would like to fit an ARB bar so if i fit these flares now will they still work when i change the bar?
I suppose what i would like to know is do both bars finsh up at the same position.

I have the larger utemart flares I think there about 160mm high look very close to the flares on a sr5. Also have an ARB sr5 winch bar and the flares fit the bar well. Fitting took about one hour no need to drill any holes and all the screws needed for mounting come with the flares. For the price $230.00 delivered I would buy them again.

easy as to fit my man...comes with a special double sided tape and rubber strip that holds th guard on at the outter edge and come with stainless screws that screw into the factory toyota inner guard clips...a woman could fit them :D

Has anyone got these flares fitted with 16/8/ 0 offset wheels and 265/75/r16 tyres and if so could you please posts some pics up to show if the flares cover the tyres or not.
As Utemart had none in stock i took a punt and bought some locally sort flares from Perth which the guy told me are the same as utemarts but my tyres stick out like dogs balls.
I know with my old Sr5 with the same wheel and tyre setup the flares sat flush and were ok.

Here's my Utemart 160mm flares, jogal. 16 x 8, 0 offset wheels with 265/75/16 MTZ.
Essentially, the horizontal tread ends at the edge of the flare with the side biters sticking out.
Please excuse the phone pics.
