I'm running 265,70,17's ( ST Maxx) on a 2014 SR5 dual cab . Apart from bugger-all clearance on "upper control arm" it's all good .

On road they are awesome they feel like gripping the road every corner and pretty quite.

Off road. Don't no yet but going to beach next month.

So my Yokis have nearly 70k on them now so should look at replacing them.. They are a great tyre and still not skating around despite the kays on them, very good on road sand and dirt tracks and we have regularly aired down to 12 psi for beach driving
I'm thinking that the Cooper St Maxx 265/75-16 at 813 mm may cause grief with my 2 " lift and zero offset alloys

BRAND: Cooper Discoverer AT3

TYRE SIZE: 215/85R16. Official diameter given by Cooper is 772 mm. It's basically a skinny 31 since the same tyre in 31' is 770 mm.

TYPE: AT. It's also an LT tyre, 115/112R and load range E.

SUSPENSION LIFT: Stock suspension, stock everything except the tyres.

RIM SIZE: The original 16 inch steel rims. Rim width 6 inches I guess.

WEAR, PERFORMANCE ON and OFF ROAD: So far only short experience. Good grip on snow. Rides smoothly and nicely on asphalt. In quick steering movements feels a little bit like there would be a rubber band in the steering mechanism, but it's not bad. You'll get used to it soon. They seem to have the habit of throwing stones on gravel roads. I may have to install longer mud flaps in front to protect my hilux. So far very happy with the tyres. They're so beautifully skinny it hurts some peoples eyes

have many people got onto the new bf goodrich all terrain ko/2's ?? i'm looking for a set for my new sr5. the guy at the tyre shop said they have either 265/70/17 which i would prefer or a 275/65/17 is there much difference size wise ?? i'm worried that the 275's will rub the uca. it's stock height for the minute but will be getting a rekon kit as soon as funds permit also will be the tyres on some +10 steelies if all else fails will prob get mud terrains

Is anyone running standard 29" (235) tires with a 2" suspension lift and can provide some pics? My 31's are almost worn out and I'm towing a 1.5 ton van 50% of the time, so the power benefits of the standard tire would be good, but don't want it to look stupid

WEAR, PERFORMANCE ON and OFF ROAD: been really good on road can barely notice any noise off road been awsome so far good in dry dusty conditions , only seen a little mud performed well and great in the wet on road. been struggling to find the ideal road pressure been floating between 40-45 psi but may stay around 38-40psi

Unless you are regularly carrying more than 50 to 100 kgs, try 38/40 front and 28/30 rear.

Pressures donot need to be the same front and rear. It's nice if rolling radius' front and rear can be close, and they will be a lot closer with less in the rear, unless you have a big load on.

ok cool will give it a crack does it affect tyre wear much ??

On my second set of these. Only got about 42000 out of the first set but pressures were always low due to constant corrugations so wore badly on the Tarmac. Love them when it gets sticky, never been bogged and believe me I have tried. Towing the boat and it sounds like a hail storm due to the flying rocks, but steel guards take care of that.

Good cheap tyre if you do a lot off road, a bit noisy on the highway. I have changed all my mud flaps to prevent rubbing and have a full set of Flexi flares to prevent stone chips on the body. I use some pretty dodgy bush ramps in the north ( as in NO RAMP ) and never been stuck even after big tides. Towed more people out of the road than I can count. All in all love 'em. Last set were $200 a corner, hard to beat that.

Could be the worst tyre I have driven on. Harsh ride, steering shakes no matter how many times I have a wheel balance and useless in the wet.
In fact it is very dangerous on a wet road. On a roundabout the front slides as much as the rear. I have a suspicion that the tyres are seconds although the tyre dealer says not. Although they only have about 10k I will be getting another brand of tyre soon and destroying the bridgestones so they won't be put on another car. I will never put a light truck tyre on a hilux again.

Why didn't you demand they exchange them for something different?

SUSPENSION LIFT: TJM XGS GOLD

Excellent handling on road, not much louder than stock tyres but can hear the square edge of tyres rumble when cornering. Stable at high speed. Sidewall not very flexible so ride is a little firmer than stock and lifted suspension increases firmness too.
Slight wheel wobble when on highway until tyre warms up.
Tyre pressures are usually 36-38psi, 34-36psi on rears when unladen.

Tyre: Nitto Terra Grapplers

Size: 265/75-16
Lift: 2 in Bilstiens with Kings coils.
Rims: Gecko DC 2s 16 x 8 0 offset.

Actual OD: 775 - 780 ish mm.
These tyres are ONLY 31" not 32"...don't believe the dude at J#$ks Tyres when he says that they are 804 mm.

Despite the sizing issue, these tyres are great on the road and very good off road and reasonable in mud.
They now have 10 000 k on them and are wearing evenly and holding up well.

Balancing has been a slight issue though.

Thats a very good question? Was told that LT tyres were harder than normal tyres and not to expect a good ride. I had the duelers on a 120 and 150 prado and had no problems. I will be going back to the dealers and letting them know about the poor wet road performance.

Excellent handling on road, vibrate a little when starting bit have had trouble with balance. Brilliant and dirt and sand. Handles alright in muddy conditions but wouldn't trust it as a dedicated mud tyre

Which tread pattern Dueller were these ? Bridgestone use "Dueller" on more than one tyre.

What lead you to conclude that the LT construction was the issue ?
