Have a 2014 Hilux double cab , threw the factory rims and tyres away. Purchased a set of 20" and running 265/55/20. sticks to road like glue and ride is good as.

BRAND. Cooper

TYRE SIZE. 275 65 18

TYPE. ST

SUSPENSION LIFT. About 3 inch

RIM SIZE. 18 with -12 offset, tyre sits about an inch outside the flare.

WEAR, PERFORMANCE ON and OFF ROAD: pretty good, I did knock the front flare off and it took chunks out if the outside edge of the tyre.

Have got the buds body mount chop and the flares have been trimmed a lot as well as moving them about 15mm up and back, also MR 3 stage bump stops to help up travel damage as it just clips the inside lip of flare.

BRAND.

TYRE SIZE.
32 / 11.5 / R15

TYPE.
Mickey Thompson ATz P3's

SUSPENSION LIFT.
2"

RIM SIZE.
15"

WEAR, PERFORMANCE ON and OFF ROAD
Wear is pretty good, had them about 11,000k's and barely look worn.
Performance on road is awesome. 100 times better than my old stock tyres. They have quite a bit of grip in the wet still, to a point i'd feel comfortable with the Mrs driving without it spinning out on her. Not too noisy either.
Off road they havn't let me down once. Been through mud, up slippery clay hills, up rocks and they've managed to get me through everytime. Still yet to go through some seriously sticky mud, but for most purposes they do what you need them to. The sidewalls give that extra grip to hug any walls you may need to ride against too.

2012 SR Dual Cab with alloy tray.
Caloffroad 3" lift
16" ROH Trak 2
Mickey Thompson MTZ 265/75R16

Great tyre but fairly soft, not a good option for a daily driver (as ours is). Less than 40k, balanced and rotated every ten and wear checked each time for front wheel alignment. Would definitely recommend for tourer or weekend warrior.

Got noisier as they wore (as you would expect) but performed very well off road in all conditions (sticky mud in Winton, sand at Rainbow and all sorts of shit in Tassie).

Just fitted BFG KM2's in the same size. Initial impressions are the contact patch is smaller due to the shape of the tyre (even the kids noticed). Much quieter on road. Very hard to balance, one tyre had to be rotated on rim to get weights down to a reasonable quantity. No offroad yet.

Cheers

Just wondering if anyone has any problems with 33s on 17" on a 2014 dual cab with a 2" lift?

If it's a stock 17" rim I think they are positive 25 so you will prolly find the tyre hits the upper control arm. May be able to get away with a skinny 33 tho?
Would need to know rim details eg: off set and tyre width you want, try the fitting 33 inch tyres thread. Guys have put heaps of useful info in it which should help you out.

So I've got some 16x7 steelies with 265/75/16s and a two inch lift. However, my tyres seem to rub still when driving. It's at some point when turning, close to full lock. I've removed the mudflaps but still have this issue. Anyone got any idea what the problem could be?

As last post I'd read what's in the fitting 33 inch thread. I know your not running 33's but it has a great description about trimming the flares and getting as much wheel clearance as possible.
If it's not rubbing behind the wheel on the flare a few other things to check are your upper control arm, your sway bar, your body mount and the front wing plate of your bulbar ( if you've got one ) just have a good look for any paint/ rub marks.
What offset are your rims?

Got these for $270 each fitted. They are a USA brand tyre.

Done 5000 km on them and they are great.
Brand: General Grabber AT
Road: These things are pretty much silent on the road, I run them at 40 psi and cant hear them at all. My highway terrains are louder than these. Great traction in the wet.
Offroad: They are awesome in the sand, I forgot to put the car in 4x4 because they went so well. I wouldn't recommend them for rock climbing as the side walls are thin and they bag out so could be prone to sharp rock punctures.

Hi Team,
Looking to replace my Goelander ATS 265/70-16 tires soonish as they now have 60k on them........
They have been an excellent set of tyres but was looking for an AT tyre with a little bit more aggressive tread pattern and slightly bigger diam.......So was looking at either:

1. Mickey Thompson ATZp3 or

2. Cooper ST MAxx.

Anyone had any experience with these :?: :?:
Cheers Richo

the width (285) is what is causing your issues, so the 2" lift SHOULD solve the problem

ive had the hankook dynapro rt03 for about 40thou k's now, they are a awesome tyre. can be a bit skittish on a greasy wet road but otherwise pretty good. i recon i have about 15-20thou left in them. 90% of their life has been on-road with the 10% sand and dirt. really strong sidewalls. dropped down on a few stakes and didn't show the slightest bit of giving in. i do have a 30cm x 3 cm slice down one tyre since about 10thou k's and hasn't been a issue at all even at 16psi

looking to upgrade rims and tyres soon to fit larger brakes. anyone know if you can get a 285/65/17 want a 32 but want some more width

Trying to get some BFG All Terrains for the Lux 2013 Dual Cab. No 265/65 r17s in the country.

Wondering if anyone has fitted 265/70 on r17s. I can get these. Any problems?
