mmaaxx is the only one who has made sense here. you guys are asking questions to see yourself in print..
if you go from 7inch +30 to 8inch then +17 is the ultimate. what you use after that is up to u. I use 275/70/16 on 8inch rims with 0 offset no problemo. legal? who cares call the racv

Hi
I done some searching and could not find a straight answer, i have a 2012 SR Extra Cab, going to put a set of 265/75 R16 on a set of 16x7 rims with MTZ's.
Has any one fitted this size tyre on a rim offset of +35 which would keep the wheel track within the 26mm, but would also bring the inside of the tyre 3mm closer to the chassis. Wanting to know if they rub at all under full lock and full compression with a 2inch lift, before i go and spend a heap of coin on these

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers Jeremy

Hi Guys, I've been asking the same question. What the heck is Toyota doing putting cheesecutters on the most popular vehicle in the country. All the other car makers start with decent tyres and higher load rating. For those of us here in Qld, we are only allowed to go up to 245/75/16 before the insurance companies no longer cover us in an accident (or so I'm told)

Hey Jeremy
I'm running 265/75/16 stmax on 16/7 roh rims with +30, just rubs on sway bar on full lock (not an issue).
Hope this helps

A p35 rim seems an odd offset mate, are you sure there not p30? p30 is factory.

Cheers Matt thanks for the info.

Yeah CSA do the monster class rim in a P20 and a P35, i found that the P20 doesn't rub according to this forum, just wasn't sure on the P35 as no one seems too have this offset, and the P35 would allow me too stay within the 26mm difference.

Only until I removed the splash guards. Would occur at full lock. P28 with 2" Lift.

hay guys

I am getting some new rims and tyres for my 2013 duel cab d4d hilux
the tyres I am getting are 265/75/16 duratrac
I have a bilstine/king spring 101hd lift giving me 3" of lift
I have been looking about at the tyre shops for a black sunraiser type rim in 16 by 7 with a +20 offset
the trouble I am having is finding a +20 offset in this type of rim
roh and a few others brands come in +10 and +30
is it better to push the offset out to +10 or tuck it in to +30 to avoid any tyre rubbing issues

thanks

its probably a personal choice more then anything. If you have flares then i would be going to the +10 for sure. especially if one day down the track you want to go to a 285 or maybe even bigger then you wouldnt have to buy new rims as well. but you wouldnt be able to use a +30 with anything bigger i wouldnt imagine.
a 265/75 on a +10 rim with a car with 3" of lift shouldnt rub at all.

hope this helps. cheers

I've been running 265/75R16 on P20 rims for years with no issues.

Looking at changing rims to a -7 with the same size tyres (Dynamic rims). Does anyone have the same or similar offset?? Was wondering if they will sit out the guards much (SR with aftermarket flares)?

I have 265 75 16 tyres on 16x7 rims +25 with no scrubbing on ome lift.

My mate just got same tyres fitted on 16x8 rims +20 on ironman lift and no scrubbing. He still has his mudflaps on too.

Just after a general consensus...yes I know these both fit....what is a better all-round option for the 16x7 rim a +30 offset or a +20?

Cheers
