32's on TRD rims

Postby Reubenwright on Wed, 02 Jun 2021 8:46 +0000

Hey guys just been doing some research to see what's the biggest tyres i could fit on my hilux with the TRD rims and 2 inch lift. Was looking at fitting some 275/70/17. Anyone done this or know whether this would or wouldn't work? The TRD rims have +30 offset and my hilux is a workmate n70 2012 single cab. Cheers

Have a look at the 33in thread. Lots of discussion about 285 70 17 which is pretty close. If I've got my offset thinking correct, you may have problems with rub on the UCA as well as other areas. But the rub on the UCA will be significant.

FWIW I run 285 70 17 on p10. But have a look at the 33 thread.
I might be wrong.

Ok cheers for that, Currently running 265/65/17 without lift. And measuring it up i have 3 cm of room on the upper control arms currently when straight lock, maybe if i do full lock to the right or left there might not be so much room, will have to take another look.

Yep have a look. A lift wont solve scrub problems.

Have a look at the prado and fj forums - a lot of people there kept the standard rims and were running 265 70 17 successfully.
