Just be careful with the OD of the Imperial tyre. 31” is actually 788mm (1” is 25.4mm not 25mm), but they do tend to be smaller. Basically they aren’t all the same, but this is the same for metric tyres.
As already pointed out, a 50mm OD increase may be legal but you will suffer with braking. When Toyota increased the Hilux tyre from 255/70/15 to 265/65/17 that is also an increase from a 738mm tyre to a 776mm tyre they also increased the rotor diameter from 297mm to either 319mm or 338mm. Tyre shops either do not know this or choose to ignore it - I bet they never warn customers of the fact.
