Postby Jaydenlux on Wed, 29 Jun 2016 6:29 +0000

Hi guys,

I live in Victoria and need a rwc for rego, how far can your tyres stick out from the flares?

Also on my left rear it sticks out 15mm and in the right rear it sticks out 24mm. What could be the go there?

Any help would be great, cheers

I wouldn't stress over 20mm unless the dude doin the check is a hard case. As for the other issue it could be as simple as ya tub or tray of line.

Try checking the rear alignment buy measuring from the inside edge of the rim to the chassis on each side.

You need to go off tread, so if you have a tyre with side wall tread that needs to be inside guards

Easiest way jack car up, use a straight edge from bottom of tyre to top and measure the gap at guards,
The days of getting dodgy rwc, are near there end, your car is photo graphed with the kms and vin show in every pic

Vic has cracked down big time this year, under new ncop laws,
Either way, idd leave it so they have something to pic on, then go down Clark rubber and get some from there after, I've even seen plastic garden edging used, and been passed
farting is alot like jxxxxxg off. both provide instant gratification, but neither is a long term solution to the actual problem......................
