Hey all been looking around for new tyres for the 06 hilux. came across the toyo open country at2's. just wondering if anyone has tried them? a couple stores have praised them just wanting some real life opinions.

Most stores have also said that a 285/75/16 will fit, however with minor scrubbing but nothing too serious? I'm running a 2-2.5 inch lift all around and 16x7+7 dynamic rims thanks.

Yeah mate we run them on a few vehicles.

They are quiet on the roads, and lovely off road. We have heavy clays to sandy soils, they do the job pretty well in all those conditions. The other thing worth noting, they've proven to be quiet tough.

I would recommend them mate, we are happy.

Cheers for that mate sounds like they will be the direction I go. For the price can't really pass them up aswell  what size are you running? I'm kind of leaning to the 285/75.

They are on work patrols out here mate, 265/70 from memory. I'm putting a set on my hilux when my bfs wear, they'll only be 245/70 or so though.

We have been happy mate, they probably won't be a hardcore 4x4 tyre but as a farm ute and doing some hunting, we've been happy.

Just fitted 265-65-17 on our 2010 Lux, very quiet tyres have only done 1000km but really like them.

Thanks for all the responses i only do beach driving mostly and sometimes rocks 4-5 times a year, so looks like ill give them a go and see what happens. Will see if the shop thinks the 285's will fit and go from there :D I will update once I have them fitted up.

Cheers Bobi
