Replacing rear wheel

Postby Carlhilux on Sat, 26 Sep 2015 3:47 +0000

At the risk of sounding like a numpty, I can't get the rear wheel off to replace it. 2011 dual cab. The nuts are off but the wheel won't move because of a locking plate (not sure if that's the right term). I can't get this to move to get the wheel off.... Any advice would be great!!

Wheel rim prob slightly corroded and stuck to the hub face. If all nuts are off give it a good kick on the outer edge face of the tyre.

I get this all the time when doin suspension on these things, as stated the rim will be a little corroded to the hub. I get a nice big bar in behind the wheel and used the leaf to pry off. Get someone to hold pressure on the bar and give the tyre a good thump with a sledgehammer(don't hit ya rim!) I even give em a spray with some panther piss and let it soak while I do the front end(bout an hour). Hope that helps, have fun.
