Correct rim offset?

Postby Mahoney247 on Tue, 28 Jul 2015 4:23 +0000

Hey guys I just recently bought a 2008 hilux completely stock standard and was looking at putting 265/75/16's on it , what would be the correct rim offset to run?
Thanks Jack

I just purchased some CSA alloys in 16 x 8 P25 offset and run 265 75 16 tyres, no rubbing anywhere. I've got a 2007 SR Hilux with 2 in lift and ute mart flares, hope that helps.

Hey mate I've got a 2009 SR lux and just put ROH Trak 2 16x7" +30 with LT265/70R16 and fits perfect and tread sits inside guards with no rubbing and stock height

+30 is the factory offset I believe, you can go up to +15 in most states and remain legal, if you find a set of fj cruiser rims they are perfect for fitting 33"s down the track too.

Patrol steelies (and mags) are a +10 offset and are a great offset for the Hilux.

After trying on -10, I wouldn't go any further than +10 offset. Unless of course you want it to stick out past the flares.

Also check that the spokes clears the calipers.
