Quick phone pic for you all. Rims and tyres (275/70/17) are fitted with no lift at this point and am getting away with it on the street. Had to give the lower corner of the bumper a little bit of love with the angle grinder at the tyre place but nothign major. Should be sweet with a little lift. Offset with tyre size is ideal Tyre tread is just inside the flares. Bulging siewall is slightly outside but not likely to draw attention.

very nice. I reakon if you come up the driveway bit too quick you may touch those front mudflaps.

you should have got a set of chunky muddies with those rims.....would have looked great, not that it doesnt dont get me wrong.

cant wait to see the lift pics.

Am hearing you re the muddies. They certainly look the part. Was very tempted but to honest would have only been purchased for the look, and the price to pay for that is inferior grip, less wear, higher road noise etc etc. So had to be real about it and get a tyre that suits the actual usage of the car. In the past i had a double locked, lifted, V8 powered hilux and used to do all the hardcore bush tracks, but not really into that anymore. This one should get me where I need to go and can always roll the dirtbike off the back for the thrills!! :)

Thanks Maaxx. Is possibly still some more colour coding in the wings. Have a TRD rear bar coming. Then just deciding on a hard or soft rear tonneu cover. That might affect what I do with the rear bar and possibly the side steps, but there might be some powder coating happening. But near enough to finished. Now to find time to get bush in it. :)

Maybe a bit of both maaxx...the looks might help get the bush in it and the performance mods might help it in the bush. :)

Hi gareth99edwards,

How'd you go?
Any dramas with that setup above, just wanted to make sure, I'm about to do the same setup with 0 offset wheels though.

I'm also looking to do the 275/70/17 on a 17x8 wheel around 0 offset, would be interested if anyone has tried this yet.
Only suspension mods thus far is 2" OME lift, currently running 265/65/17 stock wheels and gobs of fender gap

Well... if anyone was curious, I got the new wheels and tyres fitted yesterday and they rub a lot on front bumper and wheel well liner :(
