I have seen a promo hilux at opposite lock Rockhampton. It was called the fishlux if you wanted to google it. That had 285/70R17 with just a 2 inch lift and UCA's. Has anyone else done this??

aftermarket UCA's make it much easier to fit 285's
I have 2.5" and UCA's with 285's on +15 rims

Will 275/70r17 fit on my 2009 sr hilux with a 2" Dobinsons lift, my us doesn't have flares so I'm asking because will the tyres stick out there 10.8 inches, where the 265/70r17 are 10.4 will the 0.4 more make difference?

all depends on the offset. you'll need flares either way

yes mate. and new rims. 265 is sr5 width. SR5's use +30 offset
