265/70 R17 on new SR5?

Need something to get you rolling?

They do, I ran my 265/75r16 km2's for a few hundred km with no lift in my 14 sr.

had to remove front mud flaps and if you hit a good bump at full lock they rub slightly but other than that they were fine.

My ute is up for new tyres shortly (probably after Christmas).
Have rung around and got prices.
Was wondering what you guys think

Bridgestone Dueler M/T 674 - $389 each
Mickey Thompson - MTZ - $456
Mickey Thomspn - ATZ P3 - $461
BFG AT - $408

That is in 265/70/17 on a 2013 SR5 (32x10.5 I believe).

Are Mickey T's the best ATZ tyre around? I don't do any mud driving but I've heard the mud tyres are better in the sand etc than the ATZ's are?

Mostly our 4x4ing is beach, sand dunes, and a few rocky/rough tracks getting down to the beaches.

I'd look at the new BFG AT's
2011 Dual Cab SR5 D4D manual.

hi all, fitted 265/70/17 on stock rims on 2013 sr5 with OME 2inch lift rubbed on guards. couldnt get a decent wheel alignment due to aligment being maxed out,, waiting on fulcrum alignment arms to give more room to adjust. hopin this will fix the guard scrub too.

Hey TOBY, any update on this issue??

I am running the same suspension and was wanting fitting The 265/70 17 muddy tyres on the standard rims.
Looking at the summit mud hogs for something different, just doing the same as everyone else..... Wondering about that scrub.

Cheers

Not sure how chunky the mud hogs are mate but I have the KM2's and had a little bit of rub on the mudflaps at full lock with the OME suspension. A quick and easy fix is borrow the Mrs hairdryer and heat the flaps and bend them a little. My KM2's have 30 000km on the now and don't rub anymore so that's how small the margin is.

I have just fitted 265/70/17 BFG AT on the standard SR5 rims with standard suspension.
I had some mud flap rubbing (both sides on full lock) so I removed the mud flaps and used a jig saw to trim them up a little :)
No more rubbing!

The tyre place did say there was more adjustment available, I just couldn't be stuffed going back and waiting for another hour for them to readjust everything!

I have noticed the fuel usage did increase. I used to get about 680km per tank, now I get about 650ish per tank.

With the sr5 rims been +30 fitting fj rims at +15 would that help the scrubbing or make it better?

Im running 265/70/17 with BF KM2, 2 inch lift and FJ rims. No rubbing and wheels sit out nicely with the flares

Thanks lads.
Think I might order them up tonight. Give myself an early birthday present.
Doesn't sound like I will have to much trouble.

Did you ever have them fitted without the lift?

Im attempting to get tyres before suspension lift due to not having bullbar winch etc yet.

Sorry for the thread bump guys,

So what's the general consensus with a 265/70/r17 on stock Suspension? (With the Pos 30 stock Sr5 rims) I have a bullbar/winch etc so my suspension has sagged as well.

Will the tyres only scrub on the mudflap? i.e. if I just remove the mudflap the scrub issue will be fixed? Or will they hit other stuff also?

Cheers.
