Will do, I'm still at the cross roads to be honest, I'm making a few calls tomorrow morning about a 4.1 ratio as I found a prado front diff centre.

Ron, if you order the 'tick cut' you don't need the Prado diff. Maybe add the locker while your'e opening the diffs! :D

I know it's the cheapest way for me, but I'm just not sure what revs I will get. Yours is D4D mines a petrol V6, so I can't be 100% sure what my revs will be :( if I knew I could then make my choice easier.

Ron, use this calculator: http://www.osella.com.au/gear-ratios.htm
It give you a fairly good indication of what you can expect. Make sure you know what your target speed is, RPM and what tyres you plan to use as there are small differences. For what will you be using the vehicle? I suppose mostly on road and a bit of offroad?
What is your engines sweet spot? Remember a pertol need about 1000-1200rpm to compare slow speed crawling with a diesel's 750 rpm. Once you have these parameters aligned, the calculation will help you to decide. Where do you stay?

There is a guy I've met around from Adventure Auto Electrics. He has a v6 manual with 32s and 4.56 gears. His number is 07 32854534. Sorry I can't remember his name .

Hey Scott I ended up getting 4.1 ratios and fitted some 33's instead of the 4.56 ratios.

Sorry to resurrect this one from the dead, but this is a bloody awesome thread!

What diff ratios should I use for a Manual Diesel Mk7 on 37s? The linked tables etc. only go up to 35s.

Cheers,

C
