Re: 32" Tyres on Hilux

Mine fit fine on patrol rims 16x8 P10 and my CSA monster 16x7 P20's Only needed to remove mudflaps after some steep tight offroading. No body lift here either.

Sam Gribley wrote:About to put a set of 265/75 r16 on a 2010 hilux sr with no lift (yet). I've read through this whole thread and there seems to be mixed feedback on whether it will rub or not.
Decision: I'm going to run with it and cut off anything that I have to hahaha.
Thanks for all the info regardless.

Sounds like you would like to get a lift at some stage so just take it easy till then

Also when you got your 32s, correct me if I’m wrong, you had a 2” lift and 2” body lift so you didn’t have to do any chopping?

ET30 - 265/65R17
As snowchains would foul the UCA i decided to run:
ET20 (steel dotz dakar) - 245/70R17
With that I also obtained kings 2" front lift and OME 2" 350+ kg leafs for the rear.
Now these are worn I'm looking for a tad bigger, want it to be closer to the outside of the car as I now lean on my arches / sliders to fast.
Looking at
8x17 6x139.7 ET10 CTR106.1 Steel Goss Soft 8 Hole (Soft 8 Hole)
285/65R17 DISCOVERER S/T MAXX. (if they exist in that size???) 275/70R17 seems an option in the S/T MAXX
Any opinions?
I wouldn't mind trim plastic, I'd rather not be beating steel
I do mind road noise as that's where the car is 90% of the time.
I do mind OffRoad capabilities as my 10% offroad trips I have to keep up with a bunch of LandCruisers on 35's
Safe to one size bigger? with my (already bit sagging) 2" lift ? For example 285/70R17 (that would be closer to 33")

Bit hard to tell if it's the tyre size or just being new and still tight after coming from a 4 year old Hilux. I upgraded the exhaust to a full 3inch Redback system and reckon that has helped a bit.
