Have you considered going a set of wheels off an FJ as some on here have? Probably pick up a descent set with tyres for a reasonable price.

What would a set of said rims and tyres be worth???

Does anyone know if they will fit a 2005 SR cab chassis 2" lift?

The offset thing has my brain fried!

Cheers boys and girls

up the thread.,
A big Hi from Siberia to you guys!
I own '12 dual cab 2kd, standard lift 40-50mm - front: custom progressive springs + used many sets of shock absorbers (stock-broken, tough dogs-broken, kayaba skorcheds - broken, ironman - present); tail: pneumatics+stock springs.
My experience on tyres:
1. Maxxis Bighorn 762 265/75/16 on rims 16x8 offset+30 - great!
2. Nankang 889 265/75/16 on stock metal rims 16x6 offset+36 - great!
3. Winter: 31'x10.5 r15 Nokian Hakkapeliita LT on stock rims 15x7 offset+30 - great thing! 4 winters
Now the time has come to change the winter ones for the next season. Wanna use stock rims (15x7 off+30) for new ones. And certainly wanna have the biggest possible without cutting the car).
The ONLY two variants in Russia are Nankang IA-1 & Nankang WA-1 but they are 32x11.5 for r15, so now I'm searching the Inet for info.
There's a lot of useful knowledge on topic I acquired here, but a clear answer for my certain question is the one I didn't find.
Can anybody clearly say that 32x11.5 r15 tires on rims 15x7 OFFSET +30 and 40-50mm lift would feel themselves comfortable in the arch?
Thank you!

Hi all,

Lots of useful info here, many thanks to all forum members!

For me it's time to switch from stock wheels/tyres (2013 SR5, 15" rims). Does anyone have 245/75/17 on P20 offset rims(8" width) with stock suspension?

Thinking about BFG KO2 but haven't seen this combo here and have some worries about possible rubbing issues. Also BFG site says rim should be 6.5"-7.5", is it so critical?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Sorry for asking, but does anyone have pictures how the 32s look with 17x9 0 offset vs 17x8 0 offset on the car w/ original flares?
Im in a spot where i cant seem to find wheels i really like and those are the two options i can find here in norway... Cant find wheels that have +10 or +20 that look good in 9inch width( might have to import if i find something outside norway)

Hey Guys,
I'm new to all this,
I have a 2011 Hilux 3.0D 4D with no lift as yet.
What are the biggest tyres I can run without a lift kit?

I have a set of 265 75 16 so (32') tyres with a set of 16x7 -13 rims lined up, my question is will they stick too far out of the guards on an 06 sr (no flares)?

How far is too far? Depending on the tyre you'll be hanging out a fair bit.

Hi, and welcome!

The biggest would be 32" without the mudflaps on original wheels :)

Hey guys, names Luke, I have a 2012 sr5 with a 2 inch lift, arb front bar I'm running 265/75r16 (32s) on 16x8 blak trac rims with a -22 offset I've trimmed the inner guard and flares, folded pinch weld etc- my question is; will I need to trim the body mount? I've had a wheel alignment done and brough castor forward as much as the tech wanted too, I have about 15mm clearance from tread to the body mount at full lock, will this be enough under full suspension compression?
Cheers fellas

Hi gents,

Question for those running 0 offset in a 16x8 steel sunny rims...

I have a 2008 SR duel cab and going to fit 265/75/16 tires and will also be fitting the SR5 style flares from Ute Mart.

Will a 0offset 16x8 steel rim stick out past an these UteMart flares? If so how much? Should i go in to a +10?

Thanks a lot ! :D

The rim wont stick out. You just see part of the side wall of the tyre is all. Plus 10 sits just nice.

Of course sorry I should have worded that better haha

So with a +10 offset 16x8 rim and 265/75/16 the tire won't stick out past the Ute Mart flares on my SR ?

Cheers

I'm running 265/75/16 on +30 on an SR with no flares and only the sidewall pokes out, tread is just about covered. So you only need the flares to be 30mm to cover 0 offset. They make 'em to cover much bigger rubber than that, so can't see you'll have a drama.

275x70x17 BFG for the Lux with a 2 inch suspension lift and new xox front and rear bars hopefully no dramas will update soon
On 9inch lenso grunt wheels with 15 mm offset.
Thoughts any one before they arrive? Happy to do other mods just hope I don't need 6mm spacers! G

Hoping this thread hasn't died and someone is still following it.

Ive just put a 2" OME lift(front only) in my 07 Hilux, also have just bought some 265/75R16 Mickey Thompson's ATZ P3s on 16x8 0p rims and are having a good amount of trouble fitting them in.

Just asking if everyone had to do some chopping of guards? Reading through this thread most say they're ok or having light rubbing on the mudguards but i'm getting more the just rubbing at the front with only turing the wheel 30 degrees or so.

Cheers, Cam

Did ya get an alignment done yet? Get them to max the caster out, that will help. Otherwise get the Stanley knife out![emoji6]

Cheers TOYZX, I swear you’ve answered every post of mine on this forum. With maxing the caster out won’t that affect the self-centring of the steering?
Also when you got your 32s, correct me if I’m wrong, you had a 2” lift and 2” body lift so you didn’t have to do any chopping?
