The Bighorns are 33.3" x 10.3" wide. They are slimmer.

Jack, you can fit them on a 7 inch wide rim and less offset too...eg: 16x7 +20 offset.

Yeah I know, slack aye!!! I meant to take photo's at lunch today but forgot the camera. I'm away this weekend so I'll get some up on Sunday. Started trimming tonight. The only flat ground to work on it is in the garage. Had to let the tyres down to 6psi to get it in. ............only just!

I have pic's of my car with the KM2s' on ...........I just dont know how to post the pic's.

2" lift , no front mudflaps ............. but no rubbing anywhere .
Drives nicer then with a set of BFG''s 265/75/16's on .

Not 255x85x16 but KM2's 33x10.5x15 no rubbing ( will be removing flaps/mod to suit)

Maxxis Bighorns on 90 series Prado steel wheels.

Like them............I love 'em. Hope my trimming worked. This weekend will be the test. Hopefully the front end will be lifted back up again soon too.

Just curious how the wheels are working out mate? ie. scrubbing etc?

I gave them a bit of a workout on the weekend in the high country. Yes there is rubbing on the mudflaps that I made out of 3mm insertion rubber. Out of the three screws holding each mudflap on, the one in the middle is missing on both sides of the vehicle from tyre rub under compression.

The front left actually tore the splash plate on my ARB bullbar off one of the bolts.

I left the plate rubbing for to long and sustained tyre damage from it. I meant to modify the splash plates but forgot about it until it was to late. So anyway I removed the one that was damaged and the other side is fine.

All of the rubbing happened either when hitting massive potholes at high speed or when going downhill to fast over man made erosion humps.

Am I happy with the performance of the bighorns? Yes so far, although I did feel more sideways movement in the mud than I'm used to with the MTZ's. I aired down to 20 psi and that was fine for everything except for cornering on high speed gravel roads. Aired up to 24 psi and they handled it much better. I might try just airing down to 24 again next time in the more difficult stuff and see how they go.

As stated earlier, soon I'll be getting the front end lift back up a bit. After that I'll get another wheel alignment with maximum castor. Then I'll go out and reassess the clearance issues.

I have a 2inch OME lift with a 10mm snake racing spacers in front as well, i want to get these 255/85 bighorns next i have arb bullbar and arb flares will that be okay as in no rubbing? what size lift did you have when it tore that splash plate off?

The lift started out around 3" but is now closer to 2". I have been out a few times since then and haven't had any problems. If you're worried about hitting the splash plates have a look at Quinny23's build up thread. He has modified his splash plates. That is similar to what I had intended to do.

I just got the new SR5 with 265/65/17 on 7.5 rims. Changed tyres straight away to BF A/T at std size. These are close but dont rub with the stock springs. Why would the 255's rub, is it because some of you have gone wider or different off set rims? Or has Toyota done something else with the std suspension to give the clearance.

Mate the reason is that your standard tyre size is 30.5" and dogs is 33.3". I run 31's on standard suspension on 15 inch rims. So it is the overall tyre diameter

in the process of setting up a second set of wheels for the bush. Recently bought a cheap second hand set (4) of 265/75 16 MTZ's in pretty good nick off a local, now looking around for steel sunnys, local tyre guy wants to sell me a set of ROH 16x7 @ 30+ offset and they don't make any other offset. I asked about Dynamic 16x7 @ 0 offset cos a lot of guys here run these and he basically said, "no good, might sit out to far and could foul the guard" and " cheap Chinese import"????. Now when the 265 tyres need replacing I'd like to run 255/85 16's. My question is....will i be able to run this size tyre on a 30+ offset rim without to many hassles. Also noticed in my search that Pro Comp do a 16x7 steel wheel @ 12+ offset,(series 52) is this a better option as it could offer a greater tyre choice in future???? MMaaxx said back on page one of this thread that 10+ or 20+ offset would be ideal to run 255/85 but not many companies make them......Suspension is currently stock and wont be fitting these wheels til the lift is sorted, thinking 3" at this stage.
(PS.FYI.....255/85 16 in Cooper ST or KM2 both $340 each from this guy)

You could fit them to a 16x7 +30 offset but I think they would be too close to the UCA when you full lock your steering and also a chance they may touch the sway bar.

spacing the wheel out 10mm further wil make a lot of difference.
