12 x 1.5mm mate - same for Prado, FJ cruiser, Hilux, Hiace
I had some old banged up chrome nuts from a SR5 wheel set which fit the FJ rims. The centre cap hides the wheel nuts very well - so much that you hardly notice the chrome... unless you are looking straight on.
The below link is for chrome but I think the seller used to stock black

Or just get these as I did:

I put them on with 2 inch lift and 265s and no scrubbing, but I did the diff gears to 3.9 and hasn't cost me any power or economy still around 9.3l/100 as an average

I'm looking at picking up a set of 5 in the original style. They come with the stock Dunlop AT22 tyres - 265/70r17.

I still have stock suspension and wheels/tyres (SR5 rims wearing Bridgestone Dueler H/T tyres).

I'm wondering whether I can get away with running the FJ rims and tyres until I get a 2" lift? I've seen that the general rule is that lift is required for 32 inch tyres.

With the +15 off set i think you should be ok if you have a wheel alignment and pull the wheels all the was forward.

What size wheel and tire on factory suspension? FJ wheels?

PostPosted: Fri, 24 Aug 2018 6:12 +0000
by TBJ
I've seen a few hilux's with the FJ wheels and reckon they look mad, but whats the biggest I can go realistically on stock suspension? 31's, 32's 33's? also what are some wheels that would maybe fit better but still look similar to the FJ ones? How wide can I go? also what is the best size rim?
thanks

What year and model have you got? SR5's have wheel flares so you can fit wider wheels and tyres. Aftermarket options are endless! Go see your local tyre shop and see what options they have to fit. As for the 31, 32, 33" question, that will depend on what state your in and possibly what what suspension mods you currently have or are planning to do. Check out your states laws first. Best to stay legal and keep insurance companies happy!

Righto, I'm actually looking for a new hilux at the moment, I will probably put flares on anyway, even if its an SR, I want to put on some M/T ATZ P3's on it but want to know what size is legal, I'm in VIC, so what size can I go? and what about the wheels?
