20x9 rims on sr5 hilux

My lux has a 3" Ultimate lift, twin Arb lockers and will be running 33's with a 20" rim. I've built mine to go anywhere I point it, and I'm sure it will do so no different to when it had the 285/70/17 tyres on.

Was that the smart lift they have or did they just do a 3" kit for you?

Has anyone thought that he mite have a spear set of rims and mud tyres? That way you would have the best tyres for the road and the safest. Then good off road knoblys.
Saves wear on then.

Didn't end up going 20's.. Tyre prices got a bit silly.. Might look into it later on tho..

I was going to run the 20's and have a second set of 33's on patrol rims if I was going to do some hard wheeling..

My lift is just a 3" lift made up with MR parts and ultimate parts. They installed it all tho. Wasn't the smart lift..

Probably later on when I look into doing a sas, I'll run 20's with 35's just so it's got a bit more in the side wall.

NITTO tyres in 285/50/20 are only $250 each or 275/55/20 from COOPER are around $300 check eBay for prices and good deals

(Be prepared to cop plenty of shit on here if you go 20s because you will be copying everyone!!!)

Not a fan of Federals.. Had then once about 5 years ago on my patrol and had 2 blow outs on the freeway, they only had 10,000 k's on them..
