Hey fellas,

Looking at running some 275/55/R20 Cooper LTZ tyres on 20 x 8.5 P18 wheels, I've got a 3" lift (still stock UCA at this stage) can anyone see any problems with fitment of these? it works out at a 31.9" diameter. Any help is appreciated :)

Thanks!

Just while we are talking offset......measuring some 16 inch rims I have laying around......measuring from inside to the fitted face is 125 mm and from outside to the same face of the rim is 90 mm, does that make them a P 25 off set :?: :?: :?:

no that would be p18

125 + 90 = 215
215 halved is 107.5 - 90 = 17.5 give or take p18

Ta Mr Crankey......so that's a good offset for some 265/75-16 muddies then.....

i run 16x8 -22 rims on my hilux. running a 2" tough dog suspension & leaf lift. At the moment im using Hercules TERRA TRAC DT in 265/75/r16. the poke hard out of the body hence the guards also. these pictures are quite old now but they have only a miniscual amount of rub when turning and on the brakes it obviously loads the front suspension and the tire just touches the inner guard only on the cab side.

Yeah I agree.....I'm running zero offset alloys atm but was toying with the idea of having dedicated off road tyres...

If I put 275/70/16 on a 16x8 +20 would I get any rubbing running around town without a lift or any rubbing with a 2 inch lift need new tyres badly and can't afford a lift for another month or so

I have 265/75/16 on 7.5 rims 0 off set 2" lift the only thing I had to do was remove the front guard positive off set will bring the rubber in and a chance of rubbing on the shasy usually its worse on the left than the wright and possibly the upper control arm Correct me if I'm wrong guys. cause it will also help me under stand it.

32" are grate - 33" are awesome - 35" on my wish list :D

I ran 265/75/16 on +20 16x7 rim on 1" of lift (sagged 2") with no problems, good wheel alignment and it hit nothing, not even the mud flap.

If I go 0 offset it will stick outside the flares do u think it will still rub after a lift or should I just go +20 7 inch rim 265/75/16. I did want to stick around the 31inch mark which is why I was going 275 hankook rf 10s

Hi Chappy, 265/75/16 = 31.6 give or take depends on tread pattern this is classed as 32" tyre

Below is a help full link that works it out for you

Thanks Shaun 275 is 31.2 which I prefer as I'll be doing beach work it's the offset and if it will rub I'm having trouble with

Chappy I run 265x75x16 0 offset , 3" lift and doesn't rub on any thing, allow a bit of sag and that would make it 2" , and still ok

I would stay 0 off set or a little negative you will be running very low tire pressures as well if your going to do allot of beach work.

Low pressures = big balloon effect so what you see on the outside is also on the inside of tyre and cause rubbing. my 2cw

A zero offset will push me outside the guards and I regularly drive past vehicle check areas. Would a 16x7 0 offset with 265 be a better option or a +20
