Rims for my lux? 15x7

Postby aljames on Mon, 28 Mar 2016 4:31 +0000

Hey guys noob to this forum basically trying to find a set of steel rims to fit some muddies on my 2006 sr5 lux. The standard rims are ugly so i tried on a set of 15x7 steelies off my safari. The rear fitted sweet as but the front wouldn't fit coz of the brake callipers. They were a standard nissan rim. Would there be any other 15x7 rim that will clear brakes without need of spacers. I was told that the pajero rims will. Im just being cheap coz i just brought some maxxis bighorns 31s. Any help would be appreciated
Cheers

First ive heard of Nissan rims not fitting. Alot of guys on here r running them. The factory rims r 15s on the early one's, its only after they started putting the bigger calipers and traction control in them that you had to use a minimum of 17inch. What nissan rims r they? Must have a crazy small offset?

Cheers mate i can get a nice set of wheels brand new for around 300$ was just wondering how to do it with standard 15x7 off another 4x4 like pajero etc it may just be the style of rim because the standard sr5 rim tapers up rapidly to clear brakes but the ones i was trying have more of a gradual angle of 5 star. Maybe I'll have to fork oit some cash and get a set designed for my lux. Was just curious if anybody else had tryed similar.

They were off a safari, I've just brought a set of 31x10.5r15 so dont want to change to a 17 rim i only use it for hunting and on the farm and like the look of 15s
