Would be interested to find out what changes they made to increase the power output.

I like the look of this update. I might end up buying one when we stop having kids.

At a minimun I reckon the pistons and cams are be upgraded for the increased output. The 1kd saw at least 4 updates (not necessarily upgrades) to the pistons in its time.

Keep having kids and you'll need a Tarago not a hilux....

Sure do have some good memories but I would have preferred a Kia carnival with all the bells and whistles

Yeah its a practical car but until a carnival can do the Canning, I'll be finding excuses to buy a troopy.

I was in getting a new extra cab yesterday and dealer said new model is 7k more apparently.

Just said 7k more, rrp is never close if you do your homework.
Stuff all stock around atm as I had to get it before eofy.
One I just purchased was a 2020 sr5 extra cab, hd ally tray, tow bar, auto for about than that.
Note extra cab are more than dual cabs.

I’m just happy they have finally switched the old, outdated, clunky head unit with apple CarPlay! I’ll be surely looking at these when they arrive...
