HI Mick. Good looking rig. Is it possible to post some more picks of the ARB front bumper , especially some close ups showing the side, Do they cut and partially use the old bumper? more the upper part under the grille

I ordered a silver 2016 Hilux SR5 D/C 4x4 AT 2.4L Diesel with rear Diff-Lock from Oman (due to better options there than local dealer in Saudi Arabia) and it will be delivered hopefully after 10 days

These the photos of her at the where-house

Unfortunately the only Diesel engine we have here in GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries is the 2.4L 2GD-FTV
Also SR5 doesn't have: A-Trac, ESC nor DAC

The stock wheels are 265/65R17

I ordered the following for her:

Heavymental, the bonnet protector is very simply screwed on.

Richard

Does the top chrome strip need to be removed from the bonnet to allow bonnet protector to fit?

Chrome strip doesn't need to be removed, bonnet protector sits over it.

Hi all,

I receive my SR5 Hilux this weekend. I've booked in for window tinting elsewhere. What VLT percentage have people been getting? I would like to match the rear privacy glass. The tinter will apply a lite tint over the privacy glass and I assume need a 20% VLT to the two front windows?

Mine are the legal lowest at 35% here in Queensland. Other states have a front passenger and driver limit pf 35% also.

20% is going to make it illegal, you'll be up for a fine, loss of points plus loss of money on the product.

Your tinter needs to give himself an upper cut if he suggests lower than 35%. They will do it of course but the onus is entirely on you.

All he needs to apply to the rears is clear UV sheets.

Read this http://www.windowtint.com.au/more-info/29/window-tinting-laws

There's quite a few good reasons for not being allowed to go below the 35% VLT, the first one obviously being your vision at night. Others include the coppers being able to see inside your vehicle when approaching and other drivers being able to see you for various safety reason.

Thanks - how does the 35% match with the rear privacy glass? Any pics at all?

Mines 20% on the front and matches the back of my 2012 pretty well spot on.

35% is not very dark at all and will not match the back if that's what your going for.

I totally respect previous comments re legality and safety, but I'm a rebel 8-)

Provent 200 fitted. I like the factory look and also the fact it's fitted now and not after 100000km. As well as the secondary filter/water seperator. Prevention is better than the cure.

Has anyone fitted the ARB under vehicle protection to their Hilux yet? Any photos or feedback?

If it's not raining tomorrow I'll get some pics for you. Keep in mind Mitch that tints can be black blue or green with the black looking darker but all having the same VLT.

I'd like to know this also telli and is there a plate available that goes back as far to protect the new black electronic control box on the back of the transfer case for the x 4 high/low switching. To me it appears to be pretty vulnerable.

Has anyone changed the rear spring in the new Hilux? I am finding the rear is quite choppy even when loaded and towing our van. If you have what sort did you use and what difference did it make to the ride?

just wondering where your fuel filter is fitted. It looks like from the photos you have a dual battery. Is it a Toyota dual battery. If the filter is near battery how was it to install.

Also where did you get your catch can and did you install it yourself???
